    Florida Amendment 3

Which is the AP vote ? I'm not sure.

In my opinion, the AP vote is yes with the further assumption that the average age (blue hairs and wobblies) of Florida residents will be predisposed to vote for casinos.

Leaving the decisions to the backroom politics is a bad idea.
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!

Given the number of seniors in casinos everywhere, passing that amendment will result in even more oldies retiring to FL. I am one of those that was tempted to retire to Florida but opted for the Midwest because of casinos in driving distance. With none in FL or GA, I suspect a few elected to retire elsewhere.

    Zee,

Why not retire out West? Plenty of casinos in Nevada, California and Arizona. And no brutal winter to deal with like the Midwest has.

Zee posted a while back that he recently purposely moved away from casinos because he has a gambling problem. At least he recognizes his problem and is trying to deal with it. Give him credit for that.

Overcame that problem, bought a condo in a Midwest city with 5 casinos. However, one takes immediate countermeasures, 2 others are playable and two are not. Wanted to stay where there were going high schools and near family.

My son graduates from high school in 2020 and plans on going to college for a STEM degree. Maybe I will move then but since my siblings and my spouse's family live in the Midwest, it's a long shot.

I don't think MO has ever been known for having a brutal winter. Hell, 15 inches of snow is just a dusting as far as I'm concerned. Send your kid to Mich Tech for his STEM degree and then he can experience a truly brutal winter.

As addicts go you either have to go cold turkey or be the equivalent of a one drink drinker just enough to keep the monkey off your back but without the detrimental effects of abuse of your chosen addiction. So to be successful at dealing with his addiction Zee either never enters a casino again or finds a way to severely limit his access to them. If there are convenient casinos near him he would lose control of his sickness. His expenses are a big issue from an AP standpoint but may be just what the doctor ordered to stay in front of his addiction. Zee shows good judgment about some things anyway.

So which one of you lives in a colder, more snowy and brutal climate?

Maybe a poll is in order...

I would have to say the roof shoveler. And just for the record. I wouldn’t be caught dead on my roof

Our actual outside temperature will likely go lower, however, the air tends to be drier. We don’t get the biting chill that comes with humidity so evident in MWP’s neck of the woods.

I've been to your neck of the woods (during the summer!), but never MWP's.
