Not the point I was trying to make. I’m sure you didn’t strive to graduate at the middle of your glass. In fact, you mentioned, and seemed proud of the fact that you were in the top 3.
To achieve a position in the top 3 - I’m sure it required hard work and dedication - that’s the point I’m trying to make.
I don’t agree. If you hit a 12 against a 5, or 6 and take a card that would’ve busted the dealer, the ploppies will be upset. If you don’t hit your 12 and the dealer makes a hand, nobody cares. You made the right play in their mind. If you make the right play and they lose, they will usually be okay.
You need to go back and take a course in ploppy logic. Lol. It’s the same worldwide.
As far as trying to please them, that’s not why I sometimes don’t hit my 12 or 13 in negative counts against 4, 5 or 6. I agree you can never please them. It’s because I don’t want to deal with the aggravation of them constantly complaining. Sometimes it can go on for a long time.
I play mostly on weekends to unwind after a long week at work. I know most the ploppies at my local casino. Sometimes I don’t want to deal with the stress of them complaining so I don’t hit hands I probably should hit. I’m not giving up much EV and I have a more enjoyable evening.
When I’m not playing at my local casinos, I don’t care as much what ploppies think and I’ll make the right play regardless of the wrath I’ll take from the table. It’s not a big deal, but it is good to see other players like Zee sometimes do the same things I do, and care about the harmony (I like that word Zee uses...describes it well) at the table.
Again, everybody does not have the same goals. I tip a lot too so I’m not out to make a lot of money playing bj. I enjoy the game and interaction with casino staff and the ploppies. It’s a good way to relax after work and interact with people I wouldn’t normally interact with at work.
The complainers are blaimers. They blame someone for their losses. If it isn't going to be you it is almost always the dealer.
If you become an AP you will learn to enjoy messing with the ploppies. Besides driving them away from ever playing with you again it is great fun to say things like i thought the dealer had this card in the hole. There are lots of things you can say that points out how ridiculous their ploppy logic is that can even use ploppy logic. When you don't hit something they think you should hit say I didn't want to take the dealers bust card. One that works good is it didn't work out for me last time so it must be due. Just keep turning ploppy logic back at them and watch them go bonkers until they won't ever play at your table again. It is great fun.
This is backwards. You can't train ploppies you never see again to avoid ever playing at your table. But at your local casino you can train a large percentage of ploppies to never play at your table. Plus the dealer will love you for getting the obnoxious complainers that always blame the dealer to either leave the table or blame you instead of them.
I enjoy interacting with the ploppies too but unfortunately I am usually at an uncrowded table at the places I play a lot. For some reason the blamers just won't play with me. They will sit down taking up spots that others could play hoping to watch a me get into a train wreck but they won't make a bet. I don't mind but it is great fun messing with them if they decide to sit down. Sometimes the dealers have to bite their tongue not to laugh. They are always grinning ear to ear though. Then when the blamers leave they always thank me verbally and in other ways as well.
Point taken. I agree with you on this. There are times I have fun with the poppies and turn their ploppy logic against them like you do. I guess it depends on the mood I’m in. My main point is that I do sometimes do what Zee does. Not often, but it’s good to see other people do this too.
Trust me, I know how to turn people’s own logic against them by slightly twisting what they’re saying. Haven’t you seen me do this with Frieghtman, Bosox and Sharky? I got Freightman so bent out of shape once he was going to his wife for counseling sessions. I know how to do this with ploppies too, when I want to have some fun with them.
The key is to not take life so seriously. It’s too short. And never let anyone get under your skin. That’s what I like about Zee. I don’t think it bothers him when people attack him. He seems to thrive on it.
If the game is 50% penetration than you can't beating with straight counting with play all situation. However, if the penetration is better. What I would do if you have a sense that the table is filling I would spread to two hands or even three hands if it is allowed. Because other players would eat up good cards and advantage hands.
Some dealers might give a little better than 50%, but the house rule is 50%. On a typical visit out of maybe six rotating dealers among all the games, one dealer might be giving 60%, one maybe 55%, three right on at 50%, and one asshole in more ways than one 45%.
I do like to play 2 hands with a full table, but if you want to play more than one hand you have to start off with 2 hands and double min bet. There is no mid shoe switching between one and two hands. If you drop a hand you can't go back to two hands until the new shuffle.
