Because the next shoe could be normal and you can fully realize your EV gain. It seems to me if you play $25 minimal table, you can get 40% or 60% normal shoes. At $10 minimal table, you can only get 20% normal shoes. The theory on why casinos are doing this is that they use clump to control EV at Blackjack tables just like they control the slot machine payout.

So far all my talks are all about defense. How to help people not lose a lot of max bets in one single shoe because there is a killer sequence that has made me lose almost every max bet so many times before 2017, just because I believed that true count can conquer everything in long term.

I also have offense tricks. But that is my trade secrets. Pay my due by watching how successful AP win against clumping ASM. WoV has a "Parity" thread. He has the good idea on the starting point but so far he is wrong on how to implement a successful strategy. He said if he figures it out, he will publish his finding on WoV forum. I hope he is not.

There is no such thing as a normal shoe. A shoe is random so normal either includes every possible combination or does not exist.

Every count has its achilles heal deck compositions. Having a huge EV doesn't mean you will win even one hand in the shoe. Any AP that has played a lot can tell you that. If you are using opposition betting cover strategy you won't be raising your bet as all these low cards are coming out. If you use only raise your bet after a win cover strategy you won't be raising your bet while you are losing. Both cover strategies seem to do the trick in those achilles heal deck compositions. When losing, you still might not win but you won't lose nearly as much.
