Bullshit. Within a week this info will be in CBJN. Don't think for a second that pros weren't already circulating info among themselves in their private networks, and it wasn't from info posted on this board. It isn't the small recreational player who will burn out a game. After all, it has been said that 99.9% of card counters are losers. Yes, pros will travel across country to play a good game. I know this for a fact. The little recreational guy will not as he has a full time job and his first priority is his job.

Paymypush, you helped the little guy and for that I'm grateful. This thread will have probably something like a couple thousand views from all over the world. Maybe a couple hundred folks who viewed this post live within a couple hundred miles of the casino. Those who live within a 100 miles will probably go and check it out regardless of any post. Maybe those 100 to 200 miles away will decide to make a trip because of this post. Good you helped them. The pros don't need any help. I have no sympathy for them. They will burn out the game, not the little guy.

This is the old MWP speaking. Smart comment, showing experience playing. Leave that newbie part-timer, who has been posting recently, at the door.

It was about 90 miles to Springfield for me but we were going to spend the weekend in Vermont anyway. I had a chance to take another quick look at MGM on the way home.

Some of the good games were raised to $50 minimums and the ASMs were up and running. Whatever the glitch was on opening day seems to have been taken care of. The have also started with the no mid shoe entry signs to the point where they wouldn't let wongers back in until the new shoe. (Maybe THEY burned the game). I didn't see it but heard that some of the 6:5 games went to $25 minimums.

I'd like to check back in a month or two or better yet in the dead of winter. I'm not going to make a special trip but if my travels bring me there I'll definitely give it a look.

Go hammer that game and tell them to suck your dick. No one burned a game.

I'd love to hammer it but I'm not going to wait two deep for a seat at a full table to play 50-60 hands an hour. Been there done that.

Most of the reporters to CBJN are APs. Do you think any self respecting AP would make an accurate report on deep pen. I have learned if CBJN reports pen so bad you probably wouldn't show up it is worth checking out for yourself. Most of the time they are protecting a great game. The rules are usually accurate in CBJN. Sometimes rare appearance of DD games with great rules in the East section never get reported. All the real APs understand why and have no problem with it.

Did he? You read his report and travel across the country to find the game has been burned and what is offered now is shit. How is that helping anyone? If Paymypush was planning on playing it he sure screwed himself over. All the local APs that would have had a great game nearby sure aren't helped. I don't see how you can call what will inevitably happen in short order now helping anyone. What you don't get is the concept of a phone tree. Just a few blabber mouths contacting other blabber mouths is like telling almost everyone. I know one thing for sure. Paymypush or Midwest Player ask me about anything and they sure aren't going to get any juicy pieces of info. They just don't understand how to protect info or opportunities.

I take the responsibility of reporting accurate info for CBJN seriously, and I have done so for 18 years. Do I fudge pen at all? Well, maybe if it is super duper pen, but in any case not by much. For example if a DD game is on average .4 decks unseen, and sometimes as good as .3 decks unseen, but as bad as .5 decks unseen, I just might report this as .5 decks unseen. I have seen DD games dealt so deep the the dealer ran out of cards.

Now with good rules 1 deck unseen on a 6 deck game is pretty damn good, but by far it isn't the only game with those rules and pen. I just checked CBJN and saw other 6 deck games in PA listed as 1 deck. Hell, you would think we were talking about a 2:1 blackjack promotion. And by the way I have personally reported 6 deck S17 game with .8 pen. It is still listed in CBJN although the current report is not mine.

You don't get it. The little guy won't travel across country. He has a job and other responsibilities. He might travel 200 miles for a good game, but blackjack is not his main priority.

However, I may be wrong on this, but opening week the heat may be very low. The casino will be covered by the press and they will want to put their best foot forward. One never knows how a back off might go down and it could turn ugly. I personally have seen a back off turn ugly with yelling and nasty words. Casinos don't want the public to see that especially in crowded conditions. Dealers maybe are making mistakes. It may be a good time to play, but it surely won't be the little guy who burns out the game, and the pros will have long ago had the scoop on the game.

I know of lots of great games, but I don't blab about them so they have been around for years. I network with some people to who don't quite overlap my territory. We keep each other informed about good opportunities. I have shared info with blabber mouths before I knew what I had there. Those games are long gone. If I give you any info in private I don't want to see it posted on the board. We share info in private for a reason. The newbies eventually learn when they see what happens. I guess some are just too slow to see the cause and effect. You want more heat at your great games, just advertise it on the internet. The casinos will have to react to the APs you unleash on them. Smallcap is probably already on a plane. LoL

Three, I have to agree with this. Private email info should always remain private. I have always kept such info private except for one time where I made an exception and latter regretted it. The one time was when an AP emailed me about a 2:1 blackjack promotion in AZ. He wasn't going to it and I wasn't about to travel half way across the country to play it. Since he wasn't going and I wasn't going I struggled with the thought that such a promotion should not go to waste. With only a day or two left in the promotion I posted about it it on the paid portion of BJ21 hoping some locals might get a chance to play it. There wasn't really enough time for someone to travel a far distance to it. The problem was six months latter they were going to offer this promotion again, and this time the pros were a lined up to hit it. I believe it only lasted a short time and then was stopped. Anyway, I don't regret posting about it. What I regret is posting about something that was given in confidence to me.

I checked out MGM Springfield this morning (8/27.) It was busy but not at all crowded. I can verify PayMyPush's description of the tables with one addition.. there's a Pit 3 right outside the High Limit tables with 4 3:2 S17 six-deck tables. $50 minimum. Those 4 tables were open with only a few players between them. I went looking for a $25 minimum 3:2 S17 six deck but there were none to be had. Pit 7 with 14 6:5 H17 CSM tables had only 6 tables open with 4 of them at a $15 minimum and 2 at $25. Those tables were busy but there were seats available.
