    Question Card Counter Wannabe

Hi boiz i just came here as after having watched that movie "21". It could be prosaic but i'd like to introduce myself to card counting.
It actually looks kinda easy as on google there're lots of free guide like the one i'm referring to https://casino.guru/card-counting-in-blackjack (Any opinion on it's validity is well accepted =D)
What's your opinion? Potentially it could be used also in online blackjack portals? Is it a fake strategy? Does it actually worth to learn how to do it? Any feedback/experience?

    thank you <3

I saw somebody on one of the forums said they studied it for one day and thought they knew it. The naivety of some people knows no bounds.

Ask yourself "Why are people spend years of their life in school and incurred hundred of thousand dollars in debt if just few weeks of learn how to count card that makes ton of money and have fun at same time?". Yes it works but as someone in this forum said something like "count card is easy but make money with it is different story"

Basically if you're willing to practise and learn a lot, and willing to go through big ups and downs, for a profit that is only guaranteed in the long run.

21 is what inspired me to learn too, but it's nothing like the movie where it's just win win win. Counting gives you like a 1% edge, that will give you profit over time, but with wild swings (variance) in-between. And if youre betting more than your bankroll can sustain you'll most likely bottom out and go broke before you can make anything.

Correct. With poor rules and very slow. Wonder if someone can figure out if there's any way to make these games at all playable. It's worth it with the sign-up bonuses but without that i can't see how it's worth the time.

yah almost always B&M casinos offer a significantly better game, but there are some advantages to online play, such as being able to sit out all non-advantageous counts. and there are a couple of live dealer providers that offer 75% penetration.

The ability to count cards itself is not that difficult, but to actually make money requires multiple skills and lots of intestinal fortitude with regards to variance. I have seen numerous "counters" in my relatively short time counting. Very few are actual what I call "winning players" over a large sample size.

Those non-winning counters seem to forget that for the majority of positive true counts they are still going to lose more hands than they win. Although, those same positive true counts will make them money in the long run. If they do not understand this, the variance will kill them every time.
