    Not Perfect KO Player

I was wondering if I am the only one who practices a shoe at Blackjack Verite
(I'm using the android version, KO Preferred, 6 decks) and checks the "statistics" before the shuffle and
finds my count is one or two cards different from the computer.
I am sure it is not the computer, I probably accidentally count an 8 or 9 by accident?

How urgent is it I get my little flaw corrected?
In the casino, if I don't get to see the burn card, I assume the burn card was a 'high' card.
So not seeing the burn card is an example where a one card error is acceptable, right?

On a sim? Unless you're using a complex count you should be perfect. KO is not a complex count.

If you can't keep the KO count in a sim then you need more practice. Period.

I wouldn't assume the burn card to be a high card, just ignore it. You're not going to assume the cards after the cut cards are all high cards too are you? Just count it as 0.

As for being off, when I deal to myself I am off by 0.5 or 1 from time to time, but get mad at myself for it. Not acceptable. And I'm using halves which is more difficult. With KO you should be perfect.

    Cool

Card unseen is a card unseen. Don't assign a value to it, it's unseen. Funny, if I'm at first i do make a concerted effort to see whatever cards I can as they're placed in the shoe and before the dealer tamps down the decks. They can be quite loose depending on the dealer skill in handling all those damn cards. Then I try to glimpse the burn card as it's so much easier to see at first base. Especially if my head is on the felt...

The Qfit mobile phone app for drills is very helpful for practicing counts (just bury it in your phone, not on any screens, so EITS won't see it on your home screen if it you pull out your phone to do other stuff). And yes, get the flaw fixed; shouldn't be hard to do, just will take some time.

Question, is there a big difference between the "Verite Drills" and "Verite Games" apps? Verite Games is about double the price, and I'm wondering what the difference is.

Haven't used Verite Games as it didn't support my phone's screen last I checked (which was quite a while ago, but I think it was screen size), so I'm not sure. I love the drills app though and use it regularly. Someone else can probably give better insight into the Games app.
