    Buy-in amount

Is there a 'preferred' amount of $/multiple-of-bet-unit to buy in with at a table? I've always wondered if it's better to buy in with little (because you start betting a single unit) or a lot (because you will bet many units when the count is high). I usually do around 200-300 if i'm at a 25 table (spreading around 1-5/6 at a DD table).

    Thoughts?

I do the same, between $200-$300 on $25 DD game, between $100-$150 at 6 deck $10-$15 game.

It looks weird if you buy in for more than 20x table min. 20x or less is fine.

I buy in at the poker table and after a while make my way to the 21 tables with chips in hand.

Table minimum is not relevant if your minimum bet is well above it. Substitute your minimum bet and the statement works more globally rather than just when your minimum bet is the table minimum.
