    Horseshoe Baltimore $500 Chips

Horseshoe Baltimore is heavily sweating $500 chips (supervisor had to call cage and tell them I was coming) I couldn't get many details from the cage manager, but he said they'd had an "issue" with purple chips - sounded like a theft, to the point that there's some internal surprise that there hasn't been a chip change.

That reminds me of what happened at Mohegan Sun about five years ago. Someone made their own counterfeit chips and was cashing them in at the cage. Eventually, the casino caught on and changed all the $500 chips to a slightly different color.

They're sweating all large denominations, not just purples. It takes an act of congress to cash out, so don't color and ask for a chip tray. They all understand why and you won't get a second look.

This poses a major issue for people with a substantial inventory though. Good luck all.

You could have just stopped after

    Horseshoe Baltimore is heavily sweating

All Maryland casinos are sauna’s. They hate winners. Every one of them, you walk in and are immediately greeted by armed security guards. Horseshoe has Baltimore police on standby. Your money is theirs. If they let you keep any, it’s out of the goodness of their heart.

I wonder if the armed security guards may have more to do with baltimore's high crime rate rather than a deterrence to advantage players.

In one Maryland casino, I played $20 blackjack for 2 hours on a csm, lost $200, and then went to a restaurant. As I was leaving I was surrounded and physically prevented from leaving. They then radioed for the police. 3 different times, all in Maryland, I've been surrounded and prevented from leaving while being threatened with arrest. Every other place, they just wanted id and I would just leave. BTW these were all due to one flyer, not because I actually did anything. East coast casinos are very chummy with each other, with Maryland casinos being downright criminal.
