Often there is a fine line. Like you can't call someone an idiot, but you can call his idea idiotic or say his idea sounds like something an idiot would say. The latter two attack the idea and the former attacks the individual. Try not to cross that fine line, by making things personal.

I disagree with your sentiments but what’s new. My main reason for being on this forum is to learn and to improve my bj game. I know my views don’t always comply with mainstream AP thinking as it relates to business in general and casinos specifically. I’m sorry that has got some people upset. I’ve also liked this site since it’s allowed me to ask some questions to real live pro APs on topics that have bothered me from all the blackjack books I’ve read. The majority of these books are very good, and most understand that casinos are a business run for profit, but there are some books that don’t totally get this.
I know we aren’t supposed to discuss politics or religion on this forum (and I think this is a good idea), but I see so many loaded words on his forum, like greedy, plunder, rigged, fleece, poor, living wage, etc, that you’d have to be brain dead not to know what people’s politics are.
Freightman, as far you calling me names, I’m okay with that. It’s actually kind of funny and it really doesn’t bother me. As Flash pointed out in the article he posted, this is the lowest form of arguing but I know for some people it’s the only way they are able to let out their frustrations when they are unable to make a coherent point. As far as your political leanings, you’re probably the easiest to read. My suggestion to you is don’t take everything so seriously. You like to make little digs at other people, but when they do it back to you, you go off the rails. Try to control your emotions.
Bosox, I want to thank you for your post. This meant a lot to me! I’m getting to know this group better and noticed you don’t always agree with the group and you have some views that are similar to mine. Also Zee has every once and a while come to my defense and I respect that too. Zee and I don’t agree on everything but I think we have similar goals when it comes to bj.
I am not a troll, not do I want to be disruptive. I feel bad that I got Stealth so upset he felt the need to back me off. Life is too short to get that upset with people. There should be a way to disagree with people without attacking them as a person. I apologize for pushing someone’s buttons too far, but I don’t apologize for having views that are contrary to mainstream AP thinking. Popular opinion has never driven my views.
I will make this point one more time. I am not a casino employee and I have never worked for a casino. I want to win money from them just like everybody else. With this said, I respect the casinos and the people that work there, and I would probably do things the same way if I was in their industry.
It is more like living by the rules of the house while you are a guest. Some gusts are bad guests and aren't allowed to return while others respect the hosts wishes and are welcomed back. Norm tells everyone the posting rules upfront in the posting guidelines and has the class to come directly to you when you cross the line. If that doesn't work things escalate. Ultimately if you refuse to be respectful of your hosts rules your can't come back. Those with class that understand being a good guest have no problem doing this. Some just never learned how to respect the hosts wishes when you are visiting his property. Their invites always seem to get lost in the mail.

Three we need to clear this up completely or it will never be settled. How can you possibly say you never lied? When you were saying you were playing one game to protect the game you were actually mostly playing. In my mind that is fabrication. So now we are back to square one.
Being a newby counter and player, I’m just curious why you’re retiring from BJ? Burned out? It does appear (from reading these blogs) that over time it begins to grate and wear you down. Being a newb (but not a youngster, I have 7 grandchildren), I’m still in the honeymoon stage.
I tried really hard not to actually say what I was playing and let others jump to an incorrect conclusion. I can't say I remember crossing the line from deception to lying, but it is possible I slipped up while trying to walk that fine line. If I did that would not be a lie because I was not trying to lie. Many probably don't care about the subtlety and view both in the same light (I can understand this mindset) but I tried to maintain it. I will not discount that I did cross it at some point and don't remember doing so. In my mind I used poor judgement in the whole thing and should have just kept my mouth shut. I just got excited about the new direction things were going and posted too soon (I shouldn't ever share advancements with anyone but a select few that I can trust). I just wanted to inspire others to think about new possibilities they had not considered. I know a precious few found new opportunity but it was mostly exposing sensitive information with no upside. The unfortunate side effect was many couldn't stop at being critical of the idea. They had to make personal attacks which got them banned. They still do it on another site after so many years. They are no doubt the bullies and thugs whose actions make them unpopular with the more civilized. I mean anyone can get pissed off and lose it but it takes a peculiar type to be owned by those dark thoughts about someone they don't even know and hold onto them for years and continue acting on them. I feel sorry for people like that. You owe it to yourself to let that toxic shit go and hold onto the good stuff like it is gold, not vice versa. When you let the toxic stuff own you, you become a slave to it and, over time, a dark person. I would never wish such torment on anyone.
Three, thank you for your response as I know you were under no obligation to do so. Any objection I have had with you on the matter I consider closed for good. I always felt very strongly "and still do" that the whole matter got way out of hand, not entirely because of the membership itself who were all hurt by it in various ways. I never liked "I could care less who gets pissed off" how everything slowly developed and was handled from the Administration point of view, who watched while things escalated all around the site. After bannings took place carryover of the problem to other boards was NOT ONLY done by former members of this site but also from the owner here on another site, as well as continued here "all too true" resulting in more escalation of the problem. Bottom line many mistakes were made on both sides as there was plenty of blame to go around and we all paid a price in one way or another. Especially by the new members who must have thought they stumbled upon a grammar school.
