They'll just do what's already been mentioned on this thread, which is find different reasons to ban you. If they do, are you really going to pay for a lawyer to go after them which could take years and accruing lawyer's fees? I think not

Flash seems to be taking another shot at HiLo, crediting variance to himself and selling his services. Too obvious.

Of course, 2 peeps playing full-time for 6 months will have results that are

partially the result of good variance. The greater the sample size the less it

is a matter of variance. They played for a few months and won almost nothing

before learning to use Hi-Opt II and winning $100,000 in four months. I did not

note how many hours were involved, but playing high stakes, $100,000 I am sure

is well within 1 standard deviation playing daily while "crisscrossing the country."

There is no final answer as to how much "luck" (good variance) was involved.

My respect for 21forme cannot be sullied by one disagreement. He is a very bright fellow.

I urge all readers to read something artfully written at:

    Thank me later.
I haven't mentioned the FBM ASC for awhile. Might be an idea to proffer halves for the masses, coupled with the side count. I look forward to your endorsement.

Excellent analysis, but you're still missing something, though I think it's actually around 425-430. In any event, a flying trip coming up real quick - I'll hope for the best with regards to continued good stats.

Now, for the ultimate in pleasure and enjoyment, my 5 year old grandson is sleeping over tonight. The only negative is the crummy pizza he likes.

Ace Side Count covered by the FBM ASC. The missing piece has only been intimated.

That's preferable - staying away from double deck counter traps. A few comments. Shoe games hide spread better. I'm also aware of several double deck games, decent rules but lousy pen. Though good pen is always preferable, poorer conditions often provide the important element of tolerance, and this pertains to shoe as well as pitch.

Lousy pen with heads up play still translates to that important criteria of hands per hour. Those marginal Count situations provide a Gold mine of opportunity.

    Certain preferable conditions apply.

On the whole, they are making bank on card counters, since most are underfinanced, undertrained, and/or lack the ability to walk the fine line required to be a successful AP in the long haul. If you don't believe me, simply read enough comments in gambling and blackjack related forums to understand the mentality of the general public. For those few counters that are taking a steady dollar that is relatively meaningless for the casino, there are quite a few more counters at the bottom of the bell curve losing double that. There are many aspects of game protection that are critical but counters are not on this list. I recall James Grosjean bringing up the point on how it appears to not even be about greed, and more about "the principle of the thing". I think he worded it along the lines of the hustlers being pissed off about being hustled, something like that. They are much like an insurance company that prides itself in not paying claims and is willing to pay out $10,000 in attorneys fees to avoid paying a $1000 claim, to show they are an arrogant dickhead and to prove a pointless point, with this being their objective over any concerns about their bottom line. If I owned a casino, not only would it be player-friendly/counter-friendly, but I'd also be passing out some matchplays to anyone wearing their "Blackjack Army" t-shirt and ball cap, knowing I'm ultimately going to rake them through the coals for all it's worth!Hahaha
Tarzan, I like most of your posts, but I pretty much disagree with this one. I get that this is the mainstream AP view, but it doesn’t mean it’s correct. “The 18 different ways” this has been analyzed is by the same people who have an agenda...people who don’t want casinos to kick out advantage players.

Question: If what you’re saying is correct, why does Max Rubin backoff so many low level counters at Barons? Hasn’t he got the memo? As I’m sure you know, Max Rubin was an AP and he’s in the Blakcjack Hall of Fame, but now he works for the other side at Barona. This casino is one of the smartest and is known to backoff card counters quickly. I know some that have been backed off there.

I’ve made this point before, but I think it went over everybody’s head. When a marginal counter gets backed off (which is very rare), this makes him more valuable to the casinos since now he thinks he has the game to beat them. Backoffs don’t hurt revenue since these people just keep playing anyway. When has a backoff stopped someone from playing blackjack? That’s when my carreer started in earnest. I felt like I was now in the big leagues; I just needed to learn how “to get away with it”.

As as far as James Grosjean, I’ve read some of his articles and I don’t think he has clue. His articles have already been discussed at length on his forum so I won’t go into it here.

One last comment: When you say it’s “relatively meaningless” for a casino to lose money to a winning Counter, I can tell you don’t understand how a business thinks. Losing money in different ways is called leakage. No business, big or small, wants to have leakage; they all want to increase their profits and revenue. It doesn’t matter how much they are already making, they want to make more. This is true of all businesses, including casinos. Liberals call this greed. Most intelligent people call it smart business. It’s always surprised me how little APs understand business and how and why they operate.

Do you actually think that anyone on the board cares if you disagree with Tarzan, or that you think James Grosjean does not have a clue?

Casinos are all too stupid to realize that any leakage they have is due to their own faulty misconceptions, and principles that are in fact hurting the bottom line. The top brass only concern is just to keep their jobs and nothing else. What better way to accomplish this is by getting reasonable consistent returns. The last thing they want is having a big year, where higher expectations become the norm, risking their jobs.

Bosox, yes I do. That’s why I made my post. I know there are APs like you that have a closed mind and they won’t want to hear a different viewpoint, but I do think there are some that value diversity of opinion.

Btw, do you live in America? This is what made America great...freedom of speech and people with a diversity of opinions. It’s sad that you are unable to process information that doesn’t fit within your worldview.

A diversity of opinion is good for everyone, but you have earned yourself a reputation that let's just say that you lack experience in gaming knowledge.

    +1000

What is it about this forum that attracts all those who never know when to STFU?

The Peter Principle is alive and well in the corporate halls of North America, and as Bosox has so aptly commented, within the Casino halls as well.

So true, having a great year is a recipe for dressing downs the following year in corporate America, and thus, the management minions strive to limit growth, lest they be penalized by lofty revenue targets the following year.
