I really don't see much money in AP of BJ

With my recent 2 sessions loss of $450 and another 2 sessions no win, I end up with only about $ 1200 profit . However my playing time was more than 200 hours. That sucks! Man, I am out of it

I did 10-100 spread which means even if I do max bet of 1000 , still only at a miserable $60 / hour rate . What a shitty income!

I’m brand new, but if you’re at 12000-18000 hands, I don’t believe that’s enough to establish a true win rate.

All depends on the stakes you’re playing obviously.

I can’t imagine playing for anything lower than $25/hand, but to each his own.

What are you trying to say? Your posts don’t make sense...

Then devote a $250K bankroll for $750/h EV playing heads up. Since you clearly make enough money to call $60/h shitty, scale it up so it’s worth your while.... or GTFO... $60/h is nothing to sneeze at if you count recreationally.

Your conclusion applies to about 99% of card counters. Some last for one session, some for a year, about 5% for 10 years and 1% for life.

I guess I’m confused because the OP said that with a max bet of 1000, his EV is only $60. Did he mean $100 max bet? Because that would make a lot more sense. Otherwise, your EV should probably be way higher with a $1,000 max bet.

I agree with Ryemo, if you assume a 10 to 1 spread with a max bet of $1000, CVCX says under fairly standard rules (H17/DAS/6 deck shoe), that your expected hourly win rate is $177/hour. I don't know many houses that would let you play that spread for a long time however. LOL

After I re-read the post, I think he meant he’s spreading $10 to $100. Yes, the EV on that spread will suck, no matter what game you’re playing pretty much.

I think he meant that if he has been making $6/hr, so with $1000 max bet (10 times his current max bet), he would have been making $60 hr. Nothing here about EV. It is about what he actually won.

If you can make more money, per hour, at your real job then this is shitty one. Also if you good at milking casinos than prepare for infamous tabs and you can not file for unemployment benefit. Good luck.

For hobbiests, even if you don't make much money, it's still a lot better than most. Think of how much money avid golfers spend a year on their hobby? Or skiers? Or those that do both? Or people who love to travel....or those who indulge in drugs.

To have worthy ev, AP needs to play $25 or $50 minimal table. Most jobs pay more than counting $10 table.
