love it!
Freightman, I know you don't care anymore but I still wanted to point out one of your many posts in this thread that made no sense and was ploppy thinking. In this post, your advice is to split 10s to "deplete the high cards". The OP said this counter was spreading in the middle of the shoe. This means even though the count was positive, nobody knew where the high cards were located. One of the first things an AP learns is that another person's play does NOT impact their hand. It only impacts the hand of the person playing his hand.
Why do you think this AP will be pissed if someone splits their 10s or did any other bizarre play? If he is truely an AP (and all indications are he is) then he could care less if someone at the table splits 10s. He will know this doesn't impact his hands or his chance of winning. Even if this guy loses $1,400 (which you say is the best result), any knowledgeable AP knows this had nothing to do with a fellow player spilling 10s or any other crazy move.
This type of move will only impact him if he's a ploppy, or thinks like a ploppy (which is pretty much saying the same thing).

Wrong. A deliberate wrong move made with the intention of harming "think house shill" another player can, and does have an impact. On the other hand, ploppies just trying to win will not affect long- term results at all.
I get it. When I wrote my comment, I figured I'd get a comment like yours. Read my comment in the context of what Freighman wrote and it will make sense to you.
The point I was trying to make is another player making a crazy move will not piss off a true AP. It will only piss off a ploppy. If this player is a true AP (which all indications are he is) then Freightman's advice will have no impact on him. It will only harm Bushie.
When Freightman splits his tens and looks the man right in the eyes and grins as he is doing so the op will get the message loud and clear. If the other player is a true AP he will find another table.
Three, had the best idea yet when he wrote:
"Just sit in the middle of the table. Players can't spread across other player's spots. Sit on the side of him that will block the most spots from his spreading."
I thought of that point also, thinking about North America. Perhaps Bushie can clarify regarding - I think he's from Australia.
It's reasonably clear that a player can play all squares, including a Table mate. What's not clear is if he can play as well on the other side of a table mate. After all, they have kangaroos down there
Why do you think Bushie has the right to this table and the other counter does not? They are both counters and it appears they both want to play at this table. We all know two counters shouldn't be playing at the same table.
I don't know what this other person's thought process is but he sounds like a pretty bold player since he is going from 1 X $15 to 7 X $200. Do you really think splitting 10s will cause him to leave this table? I know it wouldn't have any impact on me.
I guess what is most confusing to me is why do most (not all) think it's so bad to spread to 7 hands in a positive count? Isn't this what an AP is supposed to do? Get the money on the table in positive counts. Does it really matter if he does it horizontally or vertically? Both approaches get the money on the table in positive counts. The amount he bets is probably dictated by the amount of heat he thinks he'll get. What kind of heat do you think he'll get spreading to 7 X $500? My guess is a lot more. This could be why he maxs out at $200. I'm only speculating but this makes sence to me.
Personally, I don't see anything wrong with this counter's strategy. It's a winning strategy designed to get the money. Yes, he's pissing off Bushie, but it's his money so he has a right to play it the way he wants, as long as he stays within the casino's rules. Why do so many people on this forum have a problem with this?
BoSox, I still think you had the best idea on how to resolve this issue and find out if he was a "true AP". Just fly Freightman over to Australia and have him split his 10s with his patented evil eye stare. As you've noted, this would have caused him to run for the hills if he was a "true AP". This play sounds like one of those super advantage plays that only someone with Freightman's skill could pull off.
