    Max chips consideingr Pisa effect.

What's the max chips that can be stacked, when considering Pisa effects?

Dealer hustled me by paying with increasingly smaller chips. I played dumb and just kept stacking them in circle. I worried they'd eventually topple when I got to 40 chips. Fortunately, I wonged out before then.

But I was a light-weight. Strip BP was betting blacks, purples, yellows. His max bet $25,000 with a center stack over 100 chips tall and 2 shorter stacks on each side. The Freudian imagery was obvious, and pointed at EITS.

The dealer left his stacks untouched, but would swap a few yellows for wins or losses. BP also had high high denoms on top, apparently to facilitate EITS tracking.

Don S., or anyone, what's the nth chip that can be so stacked, given x degrees of tilt?

BTW, BP had min bet of $25--a massive 1000-1 spread, without parlaying. He was a very ignorant ploppy--or had a superlative act!

If you have over 2 stacks of a particular colour, they should be trying to pay you in higher denomination chips. Twice I've had dealers purposely not pay me in anything except red. After acquiring about 60 chips in one denomination, I say something. If they still refuse to consolidate chips, I turn the tables and refuse to colour up when I'm done. You don't want me to have greens or better? That's fine, maybe I don't want them either. Y'all can order a fill.

As for how many chips you can stack.. I've done about 40 against one obnoxious dealer. I've not done more.

It's usually best to find a new dealer when this stuff happens.

It's a good point. Its really pissy when they insist on color fir color. Kind if draws attention to you when you empty a well stocked tray of green. I recently started a shoe with 2 stacks of $200 in green. End of shoe saw 17 stacks. I was happy with the result, but less so with blinding critter glare.

On a more serious note -

As a card counter, I want that stack to be as small as possible to minimize attention by the pit and EITS. The highest I'll stack green is $250. If I have to mix colors to get to max bet, then so be it. Wild men stacking them high are beloved by casinos because they can pretty quickly determine if those are AP bets or not. I don't like playing next to whales because your chances of being reviewed are also increased.

I once bet 200 in red (started @25 in red and parlayed to 200) and had the dealer pay me in red all the way because "reds are lucky for me".

So, 40 chips high is as tall as I've gone.

The only time I was 86ed was when I had a large stack of greens (25-30) at the Barbary Coast.

I had just started counting &, in retrospect, was obvious in what I was doing (playing 3rd base, standing, paying obvious attention to others' cards).

I have seen a whale that like to bet green chips only in one large stack. The stack was 2 to 3 feet high on big bets.

Same feeling! If it had been 30 years ago, I would've prayed for an underground nuclear test
