He was very rude, waited for me at the cage to cash out and then walked me to the door, making sure I went to my car. He was definite sending me a message. They didn't want me there. I was actually put in their data base and can't play at any of their casinos nationwide. This happened almost 10 years ago and I'm still in their data base. At that time, I probably wasn't even a winning player, at least I wasn't that night.

if this happened to me going from $10 to $40 and being down $300, I can only imagine what happens to people playing big money and actually winning. I'd rather not find out.
Sounds like something that happened to me quite few years ago. I was only playing red chips with a real weak spread. It was something like two hands with maybe a $10 to $40 spread. However, on negative hands I would sit out and not play at all.

You're basing the reactions off of one incident and applying that to every other casino in the US? When I got 86'd and forcibly back roomed at a midwest casino in 2016, I wasn't even playing! They reacted that way towards me due to a regional flyer and I didn't even take any money from them! There have been other times where I've won a lot of money from a single casino and they were totally professional and polite when backing me off. I know guys who've absolutely CRUSHED a game and only recieved a simple back off vs getting 86'd. On the same note, I've had sessions where I got absolutely destroyed, then got rudely backed off. Every casino is different.

You must understand that each casino has their own level of tolerance and sophistication. Not everything is black and white. I can tell you a few different casinos that would let you black chip with huge spreads for hours before getting the tap. But try doing something like that at the El Cortez or Fiesta Rancho in Vegas and tell me how that works out for you. Not every casino reacts the same.

You really want to know what happens? I can't tell you because I've been sworn to secrecy, but I'll give you a hint: it's identical to every other backoff.

Curious as to repercussions, legal or otherwise?.

i get it Remyo. I've been playing for 20 years so I know all casinos aren't the same. And lately I've been playing with a fellow blackjack apprentice member who regularly gets backed off, 86'd and Flyered. I think you know who I'm taking about. He has aggressive bet spreads and doesn't use cover so he doesn't make it long at some casinos. I've also played with him and seen him make big spreads and last a long time. So I know different casinos have different tolerances.

I probably shouldn't have added my last, "I'd rather not find out". I think I did that just to see what kind of reaction I would get. It was about what I expected. A bunch of people trying to counsel me that a back off at the bigger spread won't be any worse. I totally understand that.

With the exception of not being back roomed, I think I had one of the worst barrings you could have betting under $50 and losing at the same time.

I still stand by my contention that there are not many casinos that will stand by and let you win big money spreading from $25 to 2 x $1,000. This is my belief. It might be wrong.

Hi! I'm new here. My answer has been covered by others on this thread, but here is my two dollars worth. (Inflation) My answer depends on the situation, the house, the bosses, am I playing alone or on a team.. If I am alone, in a midsize house with decent action, and the bosses are middle aged men- I go big and show a lot of cleavage. If we play as a team in the same scenario, my male teammate is the BP and I roll my eyes a lot at how obnoxious he is and gain sympathy from the bosses, because he shamelessly flirts with me. If I am alone in a small local place I may play it cautious and keep my spread conservative. Team play is designed better for the aggressive plays. Although the right actor can pull of the BP playing alone and get no heat.

Agreed Moses. Always watch the people watching. Most are bored, hoping for something interesting to talk about in the break room. Give them something to look at and think about other than the AP. Simple misdirection. But I'm old school.
