    King's Bounty Trigger Count?

    Hi everyone,

I paid a visit with my partner to a new casino where they offer the King's Bounty side bet. The rules are very similar to Lucky Ladies but with different payouts than the LL side bets we have seen (for which we've used a Hi-Opt II trigger count of TC > 7). I managed to read the KB payouts off the gray felt today:

(Total of first 2 cards must be hard or soft 20)
    Min Bet: $5
    Max Bet: $25

    2 Kings of Spades + Dealer BJ - 1000:1
    2 Kings of Spades - 100:1
2 Suited Kings (of Hearts, Clubs or Diamonds) - 30:1
    2 Suited Queens, Jacks or 10s - 20:1
Suited 20 (Different Cards, Same Suit) - 9:1
    2 Non-Suited Kings - 6:1
Any Other Non-Suited 20 (Different Cards and Different Suit; Pair of Non-Suited Queens, Jacks or 10s; A9 Non-Suited) - 4:1

Who knows or can calculate the Hi-Opt II trigger count to use for this side bet, as it is obviously beatable?

    Wealth & health,

    C-Rod

Your HO2 trigger count for the Lucky Ladies side bet of +7 sounds way too low. The Hi-Lo trigger count for LL is +7, so I would think the HO2 trigger would be in the +10 to +12 range. As for the King's Bounty side bet, check out the link below. The trigger count for that bet using a "ten count" is +8, so again, the HO2 trigger is going to be somewhat higher; I would guess +10 to +12 range.

No. Hiopt2 is ace neutral so the assessment of T density is more accurate allowing for a more reachable trigger point for hands totaling 20. LL10 triggers at +7. LL9 at +8. But LL9 I rarely play so that one is fuzzy.

Yes.... Obviously we will not be using our ace side count in calculating our trigger thank you Three. Just to clarify some things:

The game C Rod is referring to is six decks if someone would be willing to sim it for us.

I know that you guys are fine players and utilize Hi-Opt II

+12 is a nice solid Risk Averse index for you.

With the parlay option the index should be lower not higher. You gain EV for the side bet through the parlay option.

Where in this thread was the "parlay option" mentioned?

Very valuable, as long as the payouts have not been reduced.
