I'd love to post this in the "Eastern" section, but no one reads it anymore! So, if you want, Norm, you can transfer it there.

Well, I went to Resorts recently to confirm what I have read online and to possibly get a few hands in. So, the game is as mentioned in other threads 6D and H17 on the main floor. The minimums were $25 with one table of $15. The high limit games had three available tables one of which was $50 minimum. Those tables were S17. All tables of $25 or higher were NMSE games. So, backcounting is impossible. These are the conditions I observed on a mid-week day during the afternoon.

Of course, there are many new dealers. The few I watched seemed nervous and had trouble at times counting up the card totals. Penetration on one table I watched on the main floor was less than one deck. The tables have ASMs. The dealer put the cards into the shoe THEN slid the cut card in without much care cutting off less than a deck. The floor supervisor stood next to him observing and didn't say anything. He seemed more concerned instead with how many chips were in the rack. I guess there are no notches in the shoes to estimate the cut card position or the dealers just are not yet used to doing it.

Overall, I would not go back to this casino. I was really disappointed. For a new casino to have only half the available tables open is ridiculous. There were only about nine blackjack tables available on the main floor and three in the high limit room to handle the hoard of eager players from NYC and elsewhere. Many people were hanging around watching the games looking for a seat. I overheard another player mention his similar frustration. Once a seat was vacated, it was filled up right away. I guess surrender is available from what I read on this forum, but I don't know for sure since I never got a chance to play! Maybe on the weekends or late evenings the casino opens up more. Maybe that is a better time to visit.
