Is Anybody on This Board Still Allowed to Play in Wendover

Over the years it has been mentioned many times on bj21 of folks getting kicked out of Wendover. There hasn't been much discussion on this board about Wendover, but I like the small town place and usually qualify for free for at least half fare flights. The only downside so far has been the fairly long drive to a flight city. However, I also have had private email discussions with folks playing Wendover and it seems like everyone has eventually gotten the boot. Is anyone here still allowed to play in Wendover?

I hope to make a trip to Wendover this summer, and I don't know what to expect anymore. I have heard to watch out for Jackie Price, but I don't even know what he looks like. Does anyone know if playing conditions at the Nugget and Red Garter have improved after the recent sale? Anyone have some advice on how to play Wendover and still be good for another time?

I'm starting a poll to see if anyone is still left that can play Wendover. The poll will not disclose your handle.

I've never been, but just looked at on CBJN and it appears to offer the best games on the planet. All the casinos have a plethora of 3:2 SD games. Must be a gold mine for APs!

Wait until they all turn in to 6:5 after the recent purchase.

Several years ago, they removed DAS and were forced to reinstate it.

Do you mean DoA? They don't have DAS in Wendover.

That may be correct. It's been a while.

They went to D10 and removed RSA a few years ago. It lasted a few months and they were forced to go back to the good rules. A dealer told me the biggest complaint he heard about it was players being told they could not put more money on the table. The players wanted action and being told “it has to be 10 or 11” left a sour taste in their mouths. Wendover shot itself in the foot with that one.

To add insult to injury their add campaign after going back to DOA and RSA featured the slogan “your odds just got better!”

I don't know why they would ever go to D10. The number of people doubling 9v10 or A2v8 is baffling in that town.

Any casino goons reading this thread should take note of this post. Truer words about limiting player options have never been spoken.
