    really?

    man behind the curtain:
For the life of me, I can't imagine why anyone would believe this.

how is it you can not understand something but the OP must understand something? (oh yeah i forgot, you are the man behind the curtain, lol, no disrespect meant)
don't you see this kind of lack of understanding every time you step foot in a casino?
isn't it based on how a casino makes it's money?
well me thinks your statement quoted above is really tongue in cheek, no?
far as FS, he could see the error of his premise, given enough time pondering his own understanding.
he's so close to understanding advantage play it isn't even funny, imho.

    It was "inevital".
Ya know, if you're gonna' use big words at least do a spell check.
It can ameliorate the negative consequences.
I hope FS figures it out...........

I posted from my iPad. Sometimes keystrokes get dropped. I still should have noticed before posting.

Falling Star, I'm relatively new here on the forum, but after reading these threads I went back and looked over all of your posts since you joined. Considering the amount of time and effort others have put into trying to help you understand statistical analysis, the math behind the game of BJ and the logic of AP in general, all I (or anyone, for that matter) can do at this point is to wish you luck. You're going to need it.

My best and sincere suggestion is that you stop gambling and stay out of casinos. It's people like you who pay all those light bills. I'm not trying to be mean or to be a jerk, I'm trying to save you money.

I hope you didn't find my posts a complete waste of time. I actually believe statistics are great in providing information that is helpfull. The problem is how some people interpret it. The company that I worked for eliminated the flue shot program because only 30 percent of employees were using it. The only problem was the 30 percent using the program were the ones who needed it.

You can walk into a casino with all kinds of degrees, and they'll still take your money. To win, you need a thorough knowledge of the game, awareness of the problems you'll face, how you are going to overcome those problems, an adequate bankroll and patience. The long run will save me approach, IMO, is rather naive. If you don't win, it's probably to late to do anything about it.

Everyone has the same amount of luck in playing games, once it's used up, it doesn't get replenished.

I'll mention some of the key ingredients, but necessity forces me to hide them in the bushes.

The game plan is basically a puzzle. All pieces need to be in place. Any missing pieces will, in some way, impact the outcome.
The plan needs to be broad based in scope. The betting ramp needs to have both multi and mini levels. Each bet is isolated and independent. The plan then needs to be carried out in an unemotional, robotic way.

I smell a progression bettor. It sure doesn't smell like victory.
