I totally agree. I live in Vancouver, BC and go to Bellingham, WA on average of once a month to buy stuff from their local Walmart (there's certain things that the US version sells but the CDN Walmarts don't). I've been a Nexus holder for over 10 years and the longest I've waited to cross the border is 20 (but the average is 5 min). Since the Casinos in my parts are all CSMs (but double deck games are pitch and dealt face down) the casinos in WA have traditional shoes and I'm practicing my arse off to see what I can do down there when I'm ready.

I believe so. I only do 1-8 polite spread for longevity even though my image allows me to spread more. They've known me very well since I played CSMs years ago. What if they suspect I'm a counter now that I only play DD and spread more than I used to?

You are right sir. In fact, the closest casino to me (Silver Reef) is 30 min away from me (including Nexus border wait time).

Van area really sucks for both poker and AP blackjack. There are way too many baccarat tables at casinos for Chinese gamblers.

It is an universal problem for all counters without a good solution. Welcome to AP's world.

You are right as well. I played poker back in the day when it was popular and there were quite a bit of poker rooms up here but now some of them are closed and converted to High Limit games. For those that are still exist, they've been downsized. Yes, there are way more baccarat games now these days to accommodate the Asian gamblers and blackjack has taken a back seat (even though it's CSM).

It really sucks up here and the only time I'll spend a dollar in those casinos is when I go to their buffets.

There’s a couple of shoe games in Vancouver. Also very easy to get to shoe games in Washington state. Nexus works well at pac hwy and peace bridge. No nexus lanes at Aldergrove and I think Langley. Abbotsford should have separate lane.

You need good experience to play XX in Vancouver. They’re tough games there. The shoe games are decent 6d with KM 25. Otherwise cam hell.

Where are the shoe games in the Vancouver Metro area? The only non-CSM games up there that I see are for 2d with a min bet of $25 and pitched face down.

Ok. I respect that. But I've been to ALL the casinos in the Vancouver area and it's local municipalities and I see no multi-deck shoe games...shoes don't exist up in these parts.

It seems you do not like face down DD. What's wrong with that? I think it is a great game. They do eventually turn over the cards don't they?
