    I play the best games I can get. If there were nothing but 8 deck games available I might play them if the rules and pen were good, but then I might look into traveling as well. I'd use CVCX to evaluate which option would make more sense to me. Fortunately, I don't have that problem because I chose to live where there are many choices available.

    There are many others here with much more shoe experience than I have who might be able to give you a better answer.

    My experience has been that 8-deck is a good game when excellent pen is available. More patience and wonging is in order due to longer neg/neut counts, but plus counts are often longer as compared to 6-deck games, and well worth the wait. HA is a bit greater, but not as hard to overcome as some may think.
