How Many Hours Did You Spend Playing Blackjack in 2017

I would have to review my logs to get a sense of how many hours I have played. I am guessing it is at or near the end but since this is a public poll I may not bother adding up the hours for the almost finished year of play.

I don't view Blackjack as a generic term. It's a specific game, with a varied rule set, such as number of decks, S/H17, DAS, etc. However, I wouldn't include any game where there is a different number or set of cards per deck.

Like Don said, it is the OP's poll there are plenty of BJ variants. When you say all BJ games I would think you include the variants like 6:5, switch, sf21 etc. What do they call it when your 2 original cards are a T and A. If they don't call it blackjack then you aren't playing BJ.

The reason I made this a public poll was to get some additional insight into how much one is really into blackjack. I didn't think hours played was that personal that somebody wouldn't want to disclose it.

Anyway my play time this year is the lowest it has been in the last 10 years. There were a number of reasons for this, but as one gets older your "get up and go" just doesn't seem to be there anymore. In the past a blizzard wouldn't stop me from heading out. I guess blackjack just isn't that important to me anymore. I don't see my hours increasing much next year.

Strange thing about this year is I actually won more money than I did in 2009 when I had 882 hours of play.

MWP - Nothing personal about it. Some of your recent posts have provided interesting info.

However, I just don't like to post any info about my play publicly. Over the years, I have identified 4 APs by online handle in casinos, simply by what they've posted. If I can do it, so can the other side.

A lot of adjustments that have nothing to do with your count will have a bigger impact than switching counts.
