You're not understanding. How can you claim perfect insurance without keeping a count other than the primary Halves??

    Mr.Zen!

Can you count shoe games as well by employing HI OPT II.?
Is it tougher? Does it require more practice to use ACE side count on shoes? Are you able to chit-chat, watch TV, talk rubbish to the dealer simultaneously (whilst maintaining the count easily)?

    Of course.

No tougher but a side count error can mess you up for a lot more rounds.

Not really. But you have to familiarize yourself with more numbers when calculating surplus or deficit.

This depends on the individual but I can.

For Halves with perfect insurance you would need to adjust every rank. The Ace and 9 are counted wrong, the eight is neutral and all the low card have 3 different tag weights. For perfect insurance all non-tens are counted the same.

And do you guys replace the ACES in your heads with ABCDEFGHIJKLMN...and so on?
Let's suppose you sit down at a 6 decker. As soon as the cards begin being dealt out You say in your mind PLUS 4A , and then 6B and then let's say 5C?

I hope it makes sense to you guys? )

For straight side count yes. For balanced side count no, since the balanced side count can become negative and addition of the side count not the surplus or deficit of side counted cards to the main count must occur.

Tougher? Having the discipline to study/practice makes it simple.

The Ace Side Count also becomes very easy with sufficient practice.

You just need a mnemonic to remember the alphabet letters that correspond to multiples of 4. Like, Dry Hump Lick P*ssy Tits Xtra. That is your reference for full decks.

This has to be one of your finest points. Further, short, succinct and go the point. One - possible issue - thinking of RC at plus 4 tits might cause one to pop a woody.
