    Online tournaments

    Are there any online tournaments anyone can suggest on reputable sites ?

    Interesting. Which one ?

    And why did they die ? Just because they weren't as televisual as poker ?

    Sadly I missed the boat as I was diverted by a career

    A decade ago there were tournaments for decent money on Bet21.com and UltimateBet.com which were really just affiliates of AbsolutePoker.com. If you played at any of these sites, you were actually playing the same tournaments. That all came to an end on Black Friday. It was also possible to grind out some money on playUBT.com (Ultimate Blackjack Tour) which became clubUBT which became clubWPT. Over time, the money there dwindled and disappeared. clubWPT still exists but the blackjack tournaments are gone.
