How Many Advantage Players From These Blackjack Forums Have You Met in Person

I don't mean just this forum, but also bj21, blackjackInfo, and any other respectable forum.

In my case I would guess about 14 to 16 advantage players I met. Most of these are from a BJ21 party where about 50 attended, but I didn't get to really talk to that many. I have also ran into a few just in the casino and after a conversation away from the tables or by personal email learned of their handle.

Some of the more famous ones I met in person were Bootlegger, LVBear in Wendover and BJ party, and Chaperone. Most of the ones I met in person are from BJ21 and don't post here much. Some of the others I met said they were making a trip to the northwoods and they emailed me and wanted to meet up.

I really haven't been active on this board for very long so I don't think I met anyone who justs posts on this board except for banned member Ouchez.

Actual APs, I count 18 (12 of whom I've worked with), although I'm sure there are at least a few more whom I can't remember (it seems like there's at least 2-3 more I can think of). There are probably a few others that do post on forums but I don't know their handle. A few I've known or met first (in a casino) then after realized they post on forums.

I've probably met at least another 20-30 non-APs that post on forums.

3 APs (I can remember at least), I've worked with (shared action on a play) whom I haven't met IRL.

I have positively identified three people from various forums, two from wonging in to my table and one who simply talks too much. Are they APs? Not one of them plays the way they post and one is just a terrible player.

I have never introduced myself or discussed forums or blackjack with them. Be careful people. The walls really do have ears.

I've met Ken Uston a few times as well as some of his associates.

I have met 18 APs in total. Surprisingly five of them have never posted or even lurked on any online forums. By next year I hope to grow that number to 40-50.

I've met lots of counters. Never knew the number, but included anyone tracking in some fashion or other. Of this large number, maybe a dozen or 15 capable of consistently making money.

-Ive played with 4 ace locators for sure, 2 of them also counted, those 2 only knew that I was counting. I inferentially used the other locators plays.

-best act I ever saw was a husband wife combo, him, drinking like a fish included above, girlfriend on his lap playing low stakes counting the side bet, him betting big, low spread with lots of Wong outs while socializing.

-a good friend whom I first met in my birthing days, who occasionally posts here.

-scg, knew exactly who it was - must have known he was in that city at the time, with a few purple on the table, Masterhoudini who occasionally posts here (had a complete scouting report, and knew exactly who it was before they sat down (by inferential mannerism)

-I suppose a number of second tier, capable of beating, but with no class.

    - I also know a counter who had significant potential (I mentored him), but thought that statistics didn't apply to significant talent. Ignoring probabilities takes him out of tier 1. Don't know if he's still at it or not.

Okay, enough yacking. Did my excercise this morning, just finishing coffee at my favourite French bakery cafe, and actually have an hours worth of real work to do. Then, need to pay a few bills and get ready for tomorrow's flight.

Not sure of actual number but I can identify over 75 since 2010.

Partly due to living in Las Vegas and "many drop by" when in town. Makes it easier to network.
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!

I've met seven who I know the screen name of on here and a few others I don't think come here. I'm glad to have met most of them. Networking is invaluable. Some of them are my closest friends too.

I do believe Ouchez use to organize a midwest party, but I never attended one although I have been invited many times.

I've met with a lot of APs who are on the forums, and many who are not on the forums. Some of the more notable meet and greets I've had were with guys like Bigplayer, Colin Jones, Bob Dancer and Richard Munchkin.

Networking is extremely important for successful APs. I can't stress this point enough. Building a solid network has helped me become a better/smarter player and has led me to more lucrative opportunities that I probably would have never stumbled upon on my own.

Not only has networking helped me become a better AP, but I've made a lot of great friends along the way too. I've developed a lot of great relationships with guys that I truly consider to be good friends and many other acquaintances. It's nice being able to have an AP related conversation with other people who can relate.

I was warned to stay away from those ones - from a credible source. Reason was given, which I took at face value.

Okay, what was the reason. I believe you needed a reference to attend a BJ21 party.

About Blackjack: The Forum

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
