So this guy plays all the games, punto banco, roulette, blackjack, which isn't great EV, but Ian Anderson, like many high rollers, does point out its great cover if you're optimizing not maximizing.

That's not the point. The point is this guy is clearly counting, he asks me not to join when the count is good, the second it's neutral or negative he gives the Ok. As our playing pool is small in VIP I try to accommodate my fellow ploppies, occasionally. Anyhow. He doesn't cover his bets, raises and lowers with the count.

Now here's the issue. His playing strategy is horrible. He doesn't take key doubles ( actually lets me buy them off of him, goldmine). He waves off 15's, 14's, basically any stiff against a 7 or 8. Clearly not index plays in any counts when he does it. He loses a lot when playing. But occasionally will make a pile when the count gets real juicy and he brashly throws his bets sky high.

Overall I'm seeing him losing over the course of the weeks I've observed him.

So he's either, a rich dope who learned how to count and occasionally employs it, despite his terrible hunch playing.

Or, this man is losing and losing merely to provide the most insane cover, building for the day he runs a 24 hour session with perfect play, runs good, and blows the casino's coffers.

What say you?
