    poor boy software

Hi, I hear lot of good comments on Norm's creations, I also hear that you should buy them in set of 2 or 3 products for few hundred bucks. Hopefully "some day" I am able to buy them. I bought Verite Drills to learn counting and like it very much. I also practice with "card counting BJ" at WoW site and "Advantage BJ" freeware. At mean time any poorboy's software(s) you recommend?
    Thanks in advance.

No disrespect intended, but if you don't have a few hundred dollars for good software like Norm's, you shouldn't even be thinking about casinos.

I have to agree with LVBear, unless you're an extremely low limit player with a $3-$34 spread somewhere like Africa. Even then, the software is worth the 6 max bets. I didn't use any software to teach myself, but I'm also not sure how much I donated to the casino with my early mistakes.

I'm sure you realize, he's not joking, nor making it up.

I believe Fringe is laughing more about my choice of continent (Africa), but the truth is you can really find games just about anywhere. He should be happy about that

There are excellent rules and pen out there for micro-bankrolled AP with tables of $4-$46 USD in the Caribbean and $2-$30 USD in Mexico, but I highly doubt anyone here will seek them out. It's much easier just to work and save up a decent sized bankroll to get up to speed wherever you're from.

Yes, there is a tax on table games in Mexico but not for all chips cashed out like in Panama. If you show a large win (like 50,000 MXN) in a daily session, you can expect a progressive tax as high as 9% of the win (in actuality, double taxation) for being a non-resident. It's a complicated formula, but used to be around 3 to 4.5% on profits only. Showing a 20% loss of your total chip buy-in probably won't be taxed at all, though. Some small independent casinos might not tax at all, but one in particular I believe deals a short shoe.

This thread is about software and still the first response is:

    Bankroll isn't big enough

Well, if he doesn't have the money to buy Norm's software (the best off-the-shelf software, with no 2nd place in sight) then he doesn't have a bankroll. No bankroll, no blackjack. I don't think there's any debate o. that.

That response may not be what OP was looking for, but it would be like someone with an arm chopped off and asking what's the best band-aid for the situation, and the best response does not involve advice on band-aid selection.

Ostensibly, this thread is about software. In reality, it is about preparing for a casino. If you don't have the BANKROLL to buy the software, you don't have the BANKROLL to be in a casino.

However, if we want to keep the thread about software, I would say don't use Norm's software if it's too expensive for you. Use whatever you can find because who really cares if it's shit? You're not serious anyway.
