What Count System Do You Use

I'm not looking for a discussion about what count is better. I'm just wondering what system you use. I think most who have been on this board for awhile know who are the top notch players. I'm just wondering if they use something above a level one system.

    Hi-Opt II
with Ace Side Count ~ [and Seven (7) Side Count in pitch games.]

Unfortunately, you are asking the reader to judge himself as to whether or not they are "top notch" players.

I will be amused by this thread as the vast majority of the readers of this thread are anything but "top notch."

With a name like ZenMaster_Flash, I would have thought you would have used the Zen count. Did you always use such a difficult count as Hi-Opt II.

I learned the ZEN COUNT in 1985,
turned Pro in 1992, and switched
    to Hi-Opt II in 1997.

    Nothing difficult about Hi-Opt II.

The Zen Count can be used for professional blackjack, also.

Isn't that what I just said?

What I did not elaborate upon was what my earnings looked like.

In order for my skills to pay my bills without 'pinching pennies,' I
needed the greater power of Hi-Opt II. With the Zen Count I was
    struggling to do live comfortably.

Mr.Zen! Whom would you regard to be a top notch player? The one with a massive bankroll? Or a player with a decent counting system? Or both?

An Expert or a Professional who is a veteran at the tables and has, over the course

of several consecutive years, has won a significant amount. A Professional is a player

whose "skills pay the bills" to a degree that they can live a comfortable lower middle-class

existence without "earned income" or dependence upon a spouse or S. O. to pay the bills.

To answer your pointed question, a sufficient bankroll is requisite for serious play

but that is incidental and subject to unforeseen circumstances as a bankroll can be

rapidly diluted. Recently I lent a substantial amount of money to an expert level

Card Counter - who posts here - who had sudden unforeseen five figure expenses

due to family obligations. I was quickly repaid.

On this website there are some who rarely post and those who, like myself, post to

excess. The former group probably includes some very strong players whom I have

never met. I shan't judge them. Sadly, there is a coterie of weak players who post

AS IF they knew what they are talking about, but don't.

I am using a level 3 card counting system that I created myself. In double games the level 3 count performs very very close SCORE to Hi-opt II with aces side count but outperforms the Wong Halves. In 6-8 deck games I was able to get it to almost the same SCORE as the Wong Halves.

Seriousplayer! Do you use some sort of KO variation created by yourself?

No, it is not a KO variation but I used the backbone of the concepts of KO to develop the count. Like formula in KO use to convert to true count. But not using KO tag values. Got rid of using compromise indices.

I agree that the B.C. is fine for shoe games; though the I.C. is dreadful
due to the bundling of the 9's and the Aces together with the 10's; but
for pitch games, this is not a count that I'd employ due to the low P.E.
