Still in Vegas (arrived exactly 24 hours ago), still playing rated, still doing a lot of driving, received unexpected help and advice from a pro (don't know why he isn't on this forum, last name Grifter), played about 6 hours total, up about $1.2k but through shear good luck. Took a nap, heading out. Not backed off yet probably because of short spread (1-5). Interestingly, briefly down $700, a casino host showed up to introduce herself to me, asked where I was staying. I mentioned a sister property and she immediately suggested that she was about 95% sure their rooms were better and I could stay there. I thanked her for the offer but told her it's too much trouble to go back, pack up and return. She took my email address and promised to send offers to me!!!

I did try to play unrated but the scrutiny was high and I had the choice of making a bad play or two or giving them my players card, I opted to hand over my card. Lots of driving cause I am keeping sessions short, played in 8 sessions in 6 hours at 6 casinos with a max win of $475, one loss of just $25.

I think the Las Vegas pros on this forum keep bad mouthing Las Vegas in a United effort to drive pros to other cities. It's still the best if wins can be contained to small ones, if you play greens, if you keep you max bet to under $200 and keep your sessions short.

You are referring to ZenGrifter. He is barred. A convicted felon,
    he is a
seriously unsavory character. Did he pick your pocket?

No. We never talked, just a couple of PM's. He seemed nice, did not offer to meet me. He suggested a rotation of places, suggested I play unrated (I did not), gave me a tip for the LL side bet. I would not be so judgmental since my experience with him was pleasant.

Isn't ZenGrifter Norm's sworn enemy? You guys shouldn't mention this name here.
