    Running sims

How many millions of sims (or hands) are required to run in CVCX in order to have an accurate and successful approach for one particular game?
I read it somewhere that Don Schlesinger ran down 2000 millions for the book of Blackjack Attack. (Sorry if i am mistaken)
    Normally I use 2000 millions.

    My laptop's processor:
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7500 CPU @ 2.70Ghz 2.90Ghz
I think my device could handle even more maybe if necessary...of course for a better result.

Thank you for any constructive response

    All the best

At what point do you think it becomes meaningless?

I have no idea to be honest. Will it become meaningless after a while?

The BJA sims were 20,000 million. But, that's overkill. 2,000 million is fine. With that processor, you can set threads to three or four.

How long does it take to run 2000 million hands?

Depends on the machine. On mine, less than a minute. On an Intel I7-7500U, which is a low-power CPU, probably three minutes.

ENHC, DAS 17, 8 Decks, No RSA, no surrender, KO preferred (awfully rubbish game): approximately 8 minutes. (3 players, including heads up game), also lowest count included as well. Full approach.

Ahh, adding players adds time. Also, if you click include heads-up game, it has to run two sims. Rules, strategies, side counts, indices don't make any difference.

I am not sure if you saw these or if they'll be useful for you, but Meistro123 was kind enough to post the below deviation in the thread on strategy deviations for the rules you gave above:

16vT: Stand at 0 or higher, otherwise hit.
15vT: Stand at +4 or higher, otherwise hit.
TTv5: Split at +7 or higher, otherwise stand.
TTv6: Split at +7 or higher, otherwise stand.
12v3: Stand at +2 or higher, otherwise hit.
12v2: Stand at +3 or higher, otherwise hit.
9v2: Double at +1 or higher, otherwise hit.
9v7: Double at +5 or higher, otherwise hit.
16v9: Stand at +5 or higher, otherwise hit.
13v2: Stand at -1 or higher, otherwise hit.
12v4: Stand at 0 or higher, otherwise hit.
12v5: Stand at -2 or higher, otherwise hit.
12v6: Stand at -1 or higher, otherwise hit
13v3: Stand at -2 or higher, otherwise hit
8v5: Double at +3 or higher, otherwise hit
8v6: Double at +1 or higher, otherwise hit
A3v4: Double at +1 or higher, otherwise hit
A8v5: Double at +1 or higher, otherwise stand
A8v6: Double at +1 or higher, otherwise stand
A8v4: double at +3 or higher, otherwise stand
A4v4: double at -1 or higher, otherwise hit
A2v5: double at +0 or higher, otherwise hit
A9v5: Double at +7 or higher, otherwise stand
A9v6: Double at +7 or higher, otherwise stand
10v9: Double at -1 or higher, otherwise hit

Also, what do you mean by KO?

I use Knock Out strategy. Sometimes REKO by Norm. Very effective strategy.
