DD is not easy to play without being caught. I wouldn't spread beyond 2 x 150, starting with 2 x 25 and keeping two hands no matter what. The rules are poor, but if it's really 80% pen, which is unheard of, that makes up for a lot of sins.

But, you really have to play around with the amounts bet on the two hands and not be too mechanical. There's art and finesse to DD that doesn't exist to the same extent in shoes, and straight bet variation by the count will probably be very difficult to pull off. That said, if you could play mechanically, the SCORE is very good.

As has been said before many times, and it is so true.

Deep pen makes up for a multitude of sins.

Don, in that game you are not allowed to bet 2 x 25.

yah as per OP you can either bet 1 x 25 or if you want to play two hands the minimum is 1 hand of 25 and 1 hand of 50. Which is a particular rule I have never encountered although forcing you to go to 2 x 50 is fairly common in my experience (though many stores will let you play up to three at table minimum).

Sorry about that. I read how he bet but didn't realize he was forced to do it that way.

I believe he can drop to one hand after starting at two but cannot then go back to two in that shoe. It is considered a "mid shoe entry". Likewise, starting with one and then jumping to two is not acceptable.

These are store dependent and not that way in many stores.
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!

It's as I posted, no NMSE means no introduction of a second hand after the first round starts. Also, second hand has to have a $50 min, first hand a $25 min.

I sure hope the casino does not read this post saying 80% penn is great and inviting to pros as they seem to believe their tough rules of h-17, doubling 9-11 only and no DAS is sufficient. In case you decide to head there, note that bets in black or over $200 draws great scrutiny especially by someone playing unrated. Moreover, only one DD table and unless you get there between 11:,00 a.m. And 3:00 p.m., you will find that table fills up.

Despite the penn, I don't know that playing a table with 4-5 spots being played has real value. It's great for heads up or 2-3 spots being played.
