I play this place a lot now and this guy is almost always in the high limit room and is known for trying to out counters.

So don't play when he's there, on duty, or nearby. If he's any good, he'll be able to "make" you by watching 1 or 2 shoes of your play, assuming there is a variation in TCs.

I don't play the high limit room, which is where he's usually at, but I try to avoid him as much as possible. I'm pretty much made at this casino anyway so I know they keep an eye on me. I see the guy all the time but he's never really given me any notice since that incident, which happened several years ago. Still cautious though.

Until you come back and they half shoe you on your first shoe. The you must call their bluff rather than confirm their suspicions. Don't acknowledge anything is different. They are testing you.

^ That's kinda what I meant by returning the next day or few days later. After such an incident, a gambler would return normally, thinking nothing of it. A counter wouldn't return for a few weeks/months. (Then again, if you return several months later, they could have totally forgotten?)
