    LAKE TAHOE, recent playing conditions

Has anyone played up in Lake Tahoe area relatively recently?
Just wondering if anyone has any venue recommendations or, more importantly, places of which to steer clear.

Are there any good (free) databases available that update with current playing conditions?
    Thanks for any input.

    thanks Freightman.

I'm shocked with all the snow Tahoe has gotten this winter that no one has been up there recently!
How about Reno, Sparks or Carson City?

I don't frequent that part of the bj world. However, our resident expert on the area will likely see this, and may respond.

I was there late December and walked through Harrah's (Lake Tahoe) during the day shift. All 6;5 on main floor with $15 & $25 minimums. Walked by the HL and saw $100 min and didn't see a 6;5 sign.

I wasn't there to play ( had friends along) so I didn't check the others joints. The food was lousy and expensive at the buffet ($35). Games were worse.

Tahoe has not had a decent game of BJ (without preferential shuffles) in about 4 decades.

thanks ZM, I'm a total nOOb & just looking to play my first few hands.... get my feet wet. Was randomly invited to Tahoe. Perhaps Reno will have something worthwhile instead.

3:2 double deck at Hard Rock has slightly better pen than Harrahs but those two are playable. Haven't witnessed Harvey's in a long time. Mount Blue is just awful, very sad decay from the Caesars days.
