(no prejudice, simply an observation)I never see a women AP. On the table, most women have significant bankroll, know basic, but definitely not a counter. They must be welcome by the house.
I was at a DD a couple of months ago, and a woman was spreading $25 to $400 with the count. She was loud and having a good time with the tablemates. She was also encouraging a young woman to increase her bet when the count went up -- "OK now is the time to increase your bet". She would debate out loud asking what to do on some soft doubles, but always ended up doing the correct play.
Women AP's do exist and do have better cover.
As an observation, you can believe that the ratio in a major surveillance system is 9:1, male to female. So, yes, they are a minority and deemed somewhat rare and to be valuable with teams.
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!
