I think he meant "N0". He probably used voice input and it came out "know". It is actually to be pronounced "N-Zero". This explains how Tthree can do such long posts - he is speaking, not writing them. Mystery solved! .

Anyway, the faster the game, the faster you accumulate EV, the faster you overtake the variance of the game (i.e., reach N-zero), and thus the faster your actual results will begin to look like your expected results.

Oh I see. The break even point per se? isn't that around 70,000 rounds or so?

Depends on the game rules and pen, etc. N-zero of 70,000 rounds (SCORE of 14.3) would be considered a lousy game. Most would consider a minimum acceptable N-zero to be in the 20,000 to 30,000 range (SCORE of 33 to 50 range)

I would recommend using n0 @ 2std dev as a "break even" point. That would require 4x n0. A 50 Score game would need 80,000 rounds(approx 800 hours) to be 95% certain to be even or ahead.

    A 70,000 round n0 is crap. 70,000 to reach n0@2sd is good.

n0 (n-zero), not no or know, is the number of rounds it takes for EV to equal standard deviation. At that point it is reasonable to think you should not be in the red. Only 15.8% of the time will you be in the red. See bell curve in link below:
