    Fun Table

I took my wife on an overnight stay at a local casino where I was spreading 1-15 with ease. There was a guy playing who would pass on A3, A4 etc. I waited for the dealer to say something or someone else to let the guy know he had a free hit. No one did, so I did. The dealer started to deal away so I said “wait a minute” and explained it to the young man. I doubt he really understood because I did it again, but this time the dealer paused and gave me more time to let him know he was in the same situation. I know in Vegas the dealer would have stepped up and explained it.
Later in the game I won a couple larger bets as the count dropped fast so I went back to the minimum bet and got a BJ. The guy in the 2 hole announces “That figures! Minimum bet.” The guy in the 3 hole loudly says “He bets large, than the minimum all the time. he must know something.”
It’s all fun. I invite all into my table and fit them into my act.

This week I had a ploppy who was chatting it up the whole time with me about the hands we were dealt. Nice guy. He innocently, yet loudly, stated "Man! You raised your bet just in time huh?!" moments later followed by "Whew! Good thing you lowered down to one chip!" Aaaaaaand now its time for me to go lol.

I didn't like the peanut gallery comments on the last table I played.
"Every time I look over, you've won another stack of chips."
"Wow , you're betting big now, you must know something."
"After you left, we lost every hand."
Shut up, shut up, SHUTUP! -.-

Better than the ploppies that insist playing strict Basic Strategy. If I use some index play, he or she will correct me. If I said I came to gamble or I have a hunch, he or she will get angry, scolding me like I commit the worst crime. A worst old lady hates me. I don't know why she always follows me around. Then made comment like "You are a bad player. Don't know why you are often the only one winning at the table." Every time I hit 12 or 13, she tried to incite everybody at the table against me. Saying, "he is going to get dealer's bust card. Somebody do something!" And mumbling some Gypsy that I don't understand.

I've had all of here comments and even more. You just need to develop a thick skin, and remark something g go the effect of - don't even think if tell g me how to play.

One recent brain dead patron, always standing on 16, recently chastised me for hitting 12v3. My comment to him, though subtle, carried weight as it seemed to gravitate him to the next table. At another out of town venue, one upset patron organized a table revolt against me during my whiz break. My subsequent action opened a new table leaving me heads up with an innocent bystander.

Despite these actions, one should still be mindful of keeping the local polite whale happy, which keeps the pit happy as well. I'm referring to situations which we have all had, that being the minimum bet in front of us, while the whale is at some bet like 2x200 or 300 etc. The count is in the toilet, you have 12 v3, or some shitty stiff hand where the clear action is to hit, with regular basic telling you to stay. Give the whale the option - say something like - you have big money on the table, I really don't give a shit what I do, do you have a Preference? Goes a long way.

I've had those comments also. Not always a criticism, simply an innocent ploppy question. Just evaluate the persons demeanour. I recall some years ago, a couple, both basic addicts, were trying to dictate everyone's play at the table in order to conform to their version of the card flow. Again years ago, this really really big dude went nuts on me when I surrendered, which clearly, in his mind meant hat I should have hit. That was my time to move.

I'll usually just say something like: "I've got a newsflash for you - this ain't a team sport."

Oh these people were genuinely mind blown. My favorite however was an A9 vs 6 double. Cleared a table with that maneuver!

Be ready for the bullies and when the count tanks take a break. Check their stack and smile on return when it has shrunk. Watching them go down adds to the fun.

There are smart ploppies. I had them welcome me back by saying "we hardly won any hand since you left. You must be a counter and avoid negative count." Spot on.

She probably put a gypsy curse on you that makes cards go bad for you. Here you have been blaming the shuffle machines when it is just that you are cursed.
