    Online casino

Hi, I want to ask if I can execute the strategy on the online casino? I never have experience to the real casino, i just curious if the online casino has similar environment for the learnt thing such as high-Lo.

Also i found that it is very hard for the counter go up when i trying to do it on the blackjack game. I followed the formula (7-9 = 0, 10-A = -1, else =1), usually i can only get running count plus 7 at most (but i pretty sure the card has more than 1 deck), which means i rarely go to +3 true count. Also the count can be deduced rapidly even it has +3 ( for example the count dropped from +3 to -3). in this case, should I leave the desk?

Yes, there are beatable live dealer blackjack games, but they are quite problematic. The rules and penetration are usually poor, you have to worry about not getting paid, they might charge fees for depositing and the games are slow. But it might be an okay way for a noob who does not have access to B&M casinos to get a bit of practice playing for very, very low stakes. There are a few live dealer casinos with $1 minimum bets.

True counts above +3 are rarer but will happen, even in an atrocious penetration online game. A game with better penetration will have higher true counts more frequently than one with poor penetration. Play a faster game, such as a heads up match at a real casino, and you will get to higher true counts more rapidly (not in terms of rounds but in terms of minutes).

You are probably referring to online casinos for US residents, as there are many reputable live dealer options to play at in other countries. I do not know if they are worthwhile from a card-counting perspective though. Which questionable online casinos offer these low stake games?

Certainly some online casinos are more reputable than others. My experience with BetVictor was fairly favourable and they even had a decent game (two decks cut off out of eight with reasonable rules). The minimum IIRC was 5 GBP so that might be one place to start, although they do restrict access to citizens of certain countries. Just do NOT accept their deposit bonus, as the roll over requirements for blackjack are too high (500x bonus amount, so for 100 bonus you need 50,000 in action), and you need to do this within 3 days or the bonus and subsequent profits are lost.

The way the OP describes the game indicates he doesn't know the number of decks used and may not know when they shuffle. The pen must be 1 deck dealt or his comments don't make sense. It is like playing a CSM where you don't know the number of decks used and they let 1 deck accumulate in the discards only it is much much slower. There is no way to get a TC unless you know the number of decks used. Hopefully everything inferred by these observations need not be stated directly in a long post.

To me it sounds like his perspective is an eight deck online game over a 20 minute time frame. Part of the problem with online play is that it is painfully slow and therefor dull. Play some 200 round / hr heads up play in a six deck game with one deck cut off and you will most likely see some pretty wild variations in true count.

BetVictor is a mediocre casino but they should pay. I also do not think an online casino would be able to detect card counting. Even if, they could not prove it and should pay. Nevertheless, this certainly should not be tried with a disreputable operator.

i pretty sure i have not enough skill to handle the pressure and speed of B&M casino thus i do want to practice online ( i cant even maintain my count when under conversation).

my experience about the blackjack game (sorry it is really just a game and didn't involve in real money, that game is called full house casino). it didn't show the number of deck, but it has a notification when the deck is shuffled thus it is not totally scene of CSM. and i found that the card count somehow could work (or just because im luck, whos know) and i can achieve positive win rate (i think i have +1 to +2% of EV with basic strategy). (my card counting is very rookie and lax, i pretty sure i could count wrong, but i tried my best to maintain it, also i know kelly criterion but i didn't/couldn't execute that, i just roughly do more double and split when the count is +4 to +6 with the dealer showing 2-6, or increase my bet)

what i wonder is that, excluding my rookies card counting and executing strategy. just considering the dump counting process, i found that the count hard to go up. most of the time it can only go up to +2 to +5 running count. but then it can drop rapidly to -5 or more.

i just wonder if it is because the game is implemented to prevent card counting or empirically it is the normal behavior of real B&M blackjack game. (i suspect that as i found that the shuffle would come earlier when the count went high)

in this case i can only do 1 - 2 big hand and properly the true count will drop to negative again or the shuffle will come, which is not the same for article that they said they can bet 20-30 hands after backcounting a +1 true count shoe)
