so many strategies .....which strategy to choose...and in online blackjack...how to count...or in online blackjack we can't count...which strategy will work....
Technically you should be able to count each round but they shuffle after every round so you have to start over each time you do a new deal. I advise against playing online blackjack in any form; instead you should investigate a more productive past-time like cycling.
Casino verite is great for practice. I like it better than dealing myself cards because it will tell you if you've made an error. I use verite a lot.
I don't think an online casino would be worth it for practice. They shuffle the cards too often, it usually costs money, and it's not the same as a real casino with pit bosses, waitresses, and distracting ploppies. I did practice in a real casino at their 5$ table. I thought it was cheap enough to get used to counting in a casino environment and work on my table comportment.

deepak,
You have been advised to begin your quest with Hi-Lo.
I beg to differ. If you have good study habits and can
resolve to spend sufficient time at study and practice,
move to the head of the class and learn the best ...
Hi-Opt II
I will mentor you if the above is true in your case.
I have 25 years in as a full-time professional player
who is now semi-retired.
Hey all, new here! I've been using Hi-Lo since maybe October of last year, and have done decently.
Also currently almost finished reading "The Worlds Greatest Blackjack Book" (I've read a few others already). Getting to where it's starting to talk more about Hi-Opt II, so I was curious...how easy would the transition from hi-lo to hi-opt II be, and is it really worth it? Everywhere near me has either 6 or 8 deck shoes. Solid penetration on the 8-decks with about 1.5-2 decks being chopped off, but 2-2.5 decks being chopped off on the 6-deck (I mostly play at the place with the 8 decks though). I've read that you should pretty much just stick to the hi-lo count with large shoes like these, so I'm curious about what your take might be on this subject.
I use hi opt 2 on shoes. It allows me to use a smaller spread with a smaller necessary bankroll to accomplish the same hourly as a hi lo player. It comes down to if you feel it's worth it. I personally felt it was, but only you can decide that. The extra difficulty wasn't an issue for me and the lower required bankroll for the same RoR is what sold me.

The WGBJB is outdated. Hi-Opt II is mentioned ~ it was only available privately at a high price.
If you wish to follow the majority opinion then you are not understanding the "effect of combined
ignorance." The majority will always form a consensus around a simple rather easy methodology;
as long as they are not asked to study/practice. "There is no free lunch."
The penetration that you mention makes for (likely) UNPLAYABLE games !
You just need to practice counting untill counting is done subconciously and you can do this in a variety of ways. At first, you will look at, identify cards, and your mind will be slow to process the card tags for the count but as you do it more and more, it will be more like reading a book. As you read words you no longer need to process which individual letter makes up the words and then thing about what those letters spell, it all happens subconsciously in the same way you will be able to count cards.
You can buy software, but just flipping cards off the top of a deck into a pile works wel also, or you can go hang out and watch live games and count there if you get bored of dealing out of a pack in your kitchen.
One thing to consider is that (unless you are playing single deck games which few people will recomend) casinos will use more than one deck, and in practice you will observe much larger running counts in shoe games. Try starting your count at say 25, counting down a deck and returning to 25 at the end of the deal, rather than 0, this will get you used to quickly counting larger numbers, also dont forget negative counts too.
