    CVCX and CVData

    Hi,
First I would like to mention what a great program Casino Vérité is. There was a lot of hard work put into this and the makers should be commended.

My question is, I tried CVCX and CVData that came with the installation disk. It looked a little complicated for a beginner like me. Do instructions come with it because there is no way a novice like me could figure it out?

I would like to work out a break-even strategy because I can do very well just getting the casino comps.

CVCX has a 42 page manual. CVData has two manuals with 146 pages total.

    This information may help you.

First, Norm's software is great for the general public but I develop a simulation software for my special need which also suits the need for the super rich and super poor. This is what I found out.

Basically I want to mimic Basic Strategy players and ploppies with one exception, I need to memorize all the stand/hit indexes on

    12/13/14/15 v 2/3/4/5/6

    and stand/hit/surrender indexes on

    16/15/14 v 7/8/9/10/A
    13/12 v 10

For all double, I use Basic Strategy. For hit/stand/surrender, you need to sell it like your choice of action is totally random or ploppy like.

As I said, this is a break-even/slightly positive strategy that the casino will never look at your play because you spread four to one or three to one on the 6 deck game!

Assuming using Hi-OptII/ASC under PA rule, 84% penetration, spreading $4000 to $1000, the average ev per hour is $550. spreading $3000 to $1000, the average ev per hour is $250.

In short, for 4 to 1 spread, the ev per hand is 0.325%(84% penetration), 0.263%(80% penetration) and 0.201%(76% penetration). For 3 to 1 spread, the ev per hand is 0.167%(84% penetration), 0.117%(80% penetration) and 0.063%(76% penetration). You will lose money for 2 to 1 spread. And this is play-it-all result. If you Wong-in/Wong-out, you will make more money. But remember, ploppies don't Wong-out on negative count! You better play it all.
