My understanding is most pit butt cheeks get very tight in the DD game. With tight spread limitations you have to reduce your frequency of large bets and increase you win percentage. Otherwise, the streaks will eventually catch up to you.

The timid are afraid to make the necessary plays that call for a large bet. The strong scare the shit out of the pit. Either way, you are back in your car saying WTF?

Thinking or using your mind is free. Everything else comes with a price.

You need to understand your pit. I recently engaged a DD game in a quick 7 hour (lunch included) hit and run game, cashing out with 23x my initial, and only buy in of $300) yes, really. This included pissing off the local ploppies at the appropriate time. Would never do hat in Vegas, but then again, this wasn't Vegas.

Suppose HiLo calls for bet increases at tc+2. The frequency is 15%. You play 1000 hands. Win 76 lose 74. The timid guy walks away from a tc5+ because he is money ahead for the session. The strong guy see it as an opportunity to bend them over the table.

Now Wong Halves calls for bet increase at tc2.5+. The frequency is 10%. Over 1000 hands. You win 53 lose 47. That's more money and 50 hands of streaks you didn't lose or whiz off someone in the pit winning or getting it back.

Moses, need to clarify this for you. If hi lo says to increase to plus 2.0 then halves will tell you the same thing. The principle is the same. The difference is that halves plus 2.0 will be more accurate.

Further, the hi lo plus 2 may be plus 1 or 3 for halves. One of the things that I have said constantly is that - all counts will tell you to blast away when the count us high - the true power of halves is identifying marginal strength and weakness of the remaining composition. This is vital for a playall player.
