can be very high, especially in double deck and single deck games.

A word to the wise is sufficient. Forewarned is forearmed.
    Good advice -

As I've moved up the curve in advantage play at DD games - going from pleasant flat bet, to not-so-pleasant flat bet, to back-off, to "Fahrenheit 451" (extremely rude tresspass), I can confirm this truth. It's hard to take advice when your passion is going in the opposite direction.

So my plan going forward is #1 - play shoe, and #2 - if playing DD, be extremely careful and use heavy cover and/or minimal bet spread. In DD, you must sacrifice EV for longevity....

This is a pretty darn good short post, but I would add one point on the DD. certainly, be cognizant of your surroundings and potential heat factors. Trust your gut with the telltale signs of what limits are acceptable - I've limited quality games at 25-100-125 under heavy scrutiny - but don't be confined to what is considered acceptable. Thrust and parry, probe. You will know when experimentation is acceptable. Probe slowly, don't try it all in 1 session. I recently made mention of dd 2x500 from min 25. Took 3 sessions to get there, there were no repercussions.

I am not comfortable creasing my max bet over 2 x $150.

    1. Play just ne hand, spreading $25-$150.

    2. Start with 2 x $50, drop to one hand of $25 after the first round if neutral or negative TC and stay with one hand.

My concern is that betting 2 x $50 to start is a negative that cannot be overcome with a max bet of 2 x $150.

    Suggestions?
I start betting double the min.on dd.(my double the min. becomes the min.) when the count stays in the negative I bet the house min. When I play one on one with dealer I play only one hand as long as there is an even or positive count. when When it looks like the count will stay in the negative I play two hands. to get to the next round faster(I only play two hands if I am only player at table and one othe player at most.If it is a full table table I play only one hand.)

PS. Many casinos require double the min when playing two spots.
