    How much would you bet...

If you are spreading 1-6 on a DD game, $25 min. the TC is zero, and you know that the first card coming to you is a king of hearts (pit came by, dealer with cards in hand talking to pit, slightly turned, you are playing heads up and glimpsed the card). How much would you bet?

if it's first hand after new shuffle? If it's after one deck dealt? Is there a difference if you have not side counted Aces?

If you know your first card is a face or an ace, bet as high as you can get away with. Both are very high advantages.

If you know that your first card is a king, you have an approx 10% edge. You have a 35k bankroll. Figure it out from there.

P Griffin's theory of BJ page 146 says 13% player advantage; put out your max bet.

Joe Mama, looking at your girl friend, Mason-Dixon, in your avatar. That is one big girl. I would try to be on top some of the time. Below her would not be my location of choice.

Make up whatever excuse you need to bet as much as you can get away with. The key will be the cover.

The face card as a starting card is worth about 12% advantage. Way better than whatever your count is for max bet.
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!

I'd bet about 1/10th of my bankroll at Full Kelly up to table max. So if betting 1/3 Kelly I'd bet 1/30th of my bankroll.

Thanks for asking this question Zee. There are times I know what the next card is and don't always know what to do with that information. This is helpful.

Theory of BJ page 146 --Players advantage when first card is:
    A +52%, 2 -12%, 3 -14%, 4 -16%, 5 -19%, 6 -18%, 7 -17%, 8 -9%, 9 0%, 10 +13%

Knowing the first card coming is a king of hearts and you are getting that card if there is a side bet like the Lucky Ladies bet the max on the side bet.

I would push as much money as I could get away with.

I had a situation where the dealer made an error, so the pit boss anounced that the next hand would be a "free hand." Meaning, we had the option to pull out of the hand if we didn't like our cards. Count was mildly positive/almost neutral. I pushed everything in front of me into the betting circle (about $500). I wanted to buy in for more and push out table max ($1,000), but I didn't want to press my luck. This was a MO casino that had counter-measured me multiple times in the past, so I didn't want the extra attention.

Here's the point; if I knew I had a 10% or 52% (first card ace) advantage, I would push out AT LEAST my max bet and probably much more. As long as I knew it wouldn't result in me getting backed off, I would try to take full advantage of the situation.
