My personal favorite is to hit a soft 21. Actions speak louder than werds. "Oh no! Hey Mom, I just hit 21!"
No, If I knew how to count, I'd be rich and pay someone else to do it for me.

Mr.Zen, Of course i know that it would not be smart idea making a statement like that. But a little bit of reminder for you: You are pink chipping (at least) and i am red chipping. HUGE difference! So every now and then i may allow myself a comment like that. So far I've never been taken seriously...yet.
Pink chips - at least in the eastern U S A are worth $2.50;
but I 'take your meaning.' You are still advised to avoid
nonsense while playing ~ because you have no "upside" in
saying that. In colloquial idiomatic English, that means you can
not benefit from such an ill-advised action, irrespective of stakes.
Oh my bad Mr.Zen! I meant purple chipping. (500 dollar denomination right?!)
You might be right, but sometimes i do have stupid jokes at the table, so seeing me play would definitely convince you that I'm like Jim Carrey. You wouldn't consider me as a threat. I don't know... I guess everyone has his or her own acting style.

Certain casinos show the burn card after a shuffle and whenever a dealer taps in. There was a pit boss, grumpy old man, who used to see the burn card and yell out the count. He didn't just shout it out. He would get in the face of whomever he thought was counting and let it rip. "Plus one" "Minus one". He could be heard clear across the room. Pretty funny until it happened to you.
He's got to be retired by now.
