Caesars to Phase Out Free Parking at 8 LV Resorts

We knew it was only a matter of time following MGM's move...

Again, a consequence of corporate looking to save a few bucks.

The old Vegas guys long ago are spinning so fast in their graves, the angular momentum contains enough potential energy to power Las Vegas till the end of times.

I guess cosmopolitan is where I'll park then.. Of course they're probably gonna follow suit too. Hopefully they take the Southwest Airlines approach (free checked bags) and make free parking one of their advertising points.

    Good excuse for not tipping.

Sorry guys, I'm getting creamed with resort fees and parking fees, am odds on to lose at gambling - have to save money somewhere, so you're elected.

    I was just wondering ...

    Imagine this.

I get on line to drive out of a casino parking lot and tell the clerk:

"Sorry, I have no money. Lost it all."

    What would they do ?

How long will they have me hold up the line of cars exiting the facility ?

5 or 6 years ago, a combo critter dealer was playing at another casino, was drunk and rapped out. Came over to my table and asked me if I would drive him home. I really did not want to, so I told he he was out if the way, and lent him $20 for cab fare. I was prepared to lose the $20, but he did pay me back in reasonably short order.

Interesting question - what authority keel will they grant their larking lot attendants in order to solve this potentially very real problem??

I would have preferred the cash payback to the favor. I didn't know you swung that way. LoL

Casinos that continue to not charge for parking can probably bring in more customers by bragging about doing something they've been doing all along anyway.

You shouldn't squeeze little guys just because the big guys wrong you. Dealers are getting minimum wage. The tips are their main source of income.

I agree bejammin075. I'll be more inclined to goto the places with free parking. When my EV is like 20$, I can't be forking out $8+ for parking.

If the casinos are smart, they'll charge up front for parking. That way the ploppies can lose all their money and still be able to get their car out of the lot without holding up the line.

Dealers are the lifeblood of Vegas. If enough people stop tipping, and make their feelings known to both dealers and critters, then, maybe, a tide can be turned.

Unfortunately, the uneducated sheep are just as happy to play 6:5, so probably won't mind getting goosed on parks g fees.
