The E. O. R. for the 4 and 5 is distinctly higher than that for the 3 and the 6.

That is why Hi-Opt II is the superior count; so I used that as an example.

I understand where you are coming from but I have played like you described in the past. I know that playing only positive expectation hands you don't need a spread. In the past I was betting small knowing that playing only in positive expectation I will win flat betting but I regretted because I didn't spread aggressively when I was wonging the shoes. I was willing to take on the risk but afterward I notice that betting small is a risk also because a 2 or 3 standard deviation lost will wipe your whole profit out. Aggressive I mean spreading one unit to two or three hands twenty, thirty or even forty units. I backcount and wongin when the shoe turn positive but I wasn't spreading as much I leave the shoe when the count turns negative and then go find another shoe to wong.

After wonging the shoe for a while in the same casino at some point I couldn't find a positive shoe for a long while and the games started to get worst. The profit opportunity didn't last as long. That is why I regret not betting aggressively when positive situations arise. The conditions at Blackjack does get worst overtime for some casinos. A lot of Blackjack table have 6:5 signs on it now in Las Vegas.

While it would be extremely difficult to count 2 tables while keeping a side count for each game it probably can be done. I would bet most side counters don't use their anatomy as a crutch but for those that do any appendage will do. It doesn't have to be their feet.
