    Would you bounce?

Just returned from an all day trip at various stores. However the theme of the day seemed to be neutral counts. In the entire days worth of playing I only encountered three high count DD rounds. I won the first, and the final two went horrid. I try to keep my sessions short when any sort of bet spread is being utilized, but what is your stance on "riding out" a store until able to throw some bets out? My first, then again last stop, and my only rated place, I got in 4 hours in 2 sessions. In that time my only bet larger than 2 units came at my final shoe. Because of the near neutral count my betting did not appear anything like usual for a counter and so I wasn't concerned. Is this a screw up on my part? I usually try and limit to 45 minutes if able to spread.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Are you asking about heat, or whether you should not play a place where you are losing?

He's talking about playing 8 or 9 shoes at minimum bet, then going haywire on the spread when he finally gets a count.

Don't over-think the situation. Just play like you know how to play..

Sorry for the confusing post. I'm asking if staying in one store for prolonged times acceptable if you haven't shown much of a spread?

No. If you haven't raised your bet then find another game, don't become a headstone!

Why give surveillance a shot at detail analysis of your game?
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!

Depends on the place. There are places I play butt-naked for days at a time. There are other places I would feel weird about playing an hour. If it was a place I believed was watching their games heavily, I'd keep the sessions short no matter what happens.

Totally agree. I play rated at this place in MO and had lost $3k two weeks ago. They comped my room and I went there last night, played the DD game spreading 1-6 ($25-$175) as always. I went down $2200 before making a slow recovery over 4 hours (played 6 hours straight) and left after recovering $2100 of $2200. Next morning, I left up $150 for a $50 win. Drove today to another city and was quickly down $1800 this evening, ended up winning it back plus another $250 in 4 Hours.

its individual, your reputation and more. In some casinos, those rated are judged by lifetime wins and you can get away quite a bit. In this one casino, they just stopped comping me a room after some wins but did not take any measures except when played heads up. Course, I never hang around if I am winning more than $500-$1k.

    Stevie Wonder,

In order to answer this question in the best way possible, it would be helpful to know more about your play. What kind of stakes do you play and what kind of spreads do you employ? Another factor to consider would be, what market do you play in (You don't need to answer that btw)?

The point is, it's circumstantial. If you're red-chipping, you might be able to play all day long and no one will notice you. But some stores (very dumpy ones) won't even tolerate red-chippers very long. Those same stores definitely won't tolerate green chip or black chip action AT ALL! What kind of spreads do you use? Some places may tolerate a 1x25 to 2x250, but that very same store may not tolerate 1x10 to 2x250. If you red-chip at majority of the stores in my region, you'll last years! But I can take you to some local dumps in Vegas or in the South, and you'll only last minutes! Not everything is so black and white.

At this specific place I played DD 25 minimum. Maybe got a $50 bet out 5 times in my entire time there. Last bet was 1 shot at $100. It was the first in my time only betting my minimum greater than 95% of the time. Bizarre for sure.

That's a lot of shuffles to only have neutral counts. Bizarre things like that happen sometimes.

Sticking to the rule of thumb of keeping your sessions around an hour is a good idea. Some places are better to hit in even shorter sessions. Some wouldn't care if you camped for days. Even so, it's usually never good to give them lots of play time to analyse.

Did you check the penetration? If the pen was lousy (say less than 60%), then the lack of high true counts begins to make sense. In a low pen game you need to adjust your ramps to be more aggressive.

Most of the day was about 60% non-notched.
