How fast and accurate are you with your count?

For this survey would ask that you use one deck, remove 2 cards and then count down the deck and identify composition of the 2 cards. Record you time in seconds. If error start over.

Repeat five times with no error.

Upon successful completion, average your times and use the answer to respond to the survey.

    Screwed up title in survey.........sorry.
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!

0-15 is the best bracket? What is this, amateur hour?

Seriously though, counting down decks lightning fast isn't the most important thing. It's about counting down decks accurately while playing the game of blackjack, which is where more of your time should be focused.

I put down 16-20, but I'm faster with a good dealer, which means, by inference, I'm not that fast as a dealer. So, to play devils advocate, if your a halves player, remove 3 cards, and predict them at the end

My fastest time is 17 secs. But usually when I practice I'm in the 20 - 23 sec range.

Good idea for a survey. But honestly, I don't understand why anybody would practice counting down a deck of cards one at a time. It just doesn't work that way in a real-life BJ game. It's about tallying and cancelling various groups of cards on the table. If you're counting cards one at a time (other than when players are hitting their hands), you're in a heap of trouble...

Let's get some suggestions for standardized speed tests that don't involve the one-at-a time drill...

You can throw them out 2-3 at a time, but u are right - cancelling 2-3-4 at a time is the way to go.

BTW, for me it's better since I can get confused, don't know about now and don't ask me why, if I deal them one at a time. I wanted to train through around/through it.
