How many different AP methods have you used?

    For purposes of this poll:

    - I would consider standard BJ, BJ with different side bets, SP21/Pontoon, BJ Switch etc. as different methods.
    - Different games count as different methods.
    - I would count all standard VP games as one method, progressions as another, promotions as another, and vuxing as another.
    - Shuffle-tracking, ace-tracking, hole-carding, next-carding, scavenger play, etc. would count additional to straight card counting.
    - Rebates, promotions count. I would NOT count match-plays unless they are significant.
    - Tournaments for multiple games would count as multiple additional methods.
    - Online casino play: bonus-whoring, tournies, promotions are separate.
    - Non-casino games (e.g. NFL, the track) are additional methods.
    - Pure gambling does NOT count. You must at least believe you have an edge.

Checking payphones for change doesn't count. (Are there any payphones anymore?)

Does walking around casino with head down count? I found 2 folded up Benjies on casino floor a couple of months ago. Found a $16.25 ticket last week sticking out of a machine--I always look at tickets laying on machines, they're usually for a few cents and then I just ignor them. Once found a Benjie on floor in casino buffet. Found a ~$40 ticket on floor once. I've found credits left on machines, more than $20 a few times. Lots of loose change on casino floors, I'll pick up quarters.

I've been too chicken to try, but lots of player's cards are left in machines. You could use one to play "rated" at BJ table. Has anyone tried this?

Trespass and arrest for fraud and tax evasion are some of the risk you'd take.

In some casinos when a card is swiped player information is shown.

It will not go well as you could be using the card of a 70 year old pensioner, etc. etc.

I certainly would not do this. I doubt if it would be illegal if you did not do it for the purposes of structuring or using points on the card. But, it could backfire on you anyhow. There are better ways of avoiding using your own card.

Norm, can you expound on that? If casino personnel know you are rated then when they ask for your card, how do you refuse? I say, I forgot and they want my drivers license. If I say I left my wallet at home, they want to look me up by my last name. If I say I don't want to be rated, don't want my wife to know, they say they can prevent anything sent to me via mail or email.

You don't owe them an explanation, just say no thanks.
If they press the issue again say no.If you need to justify with the wife excuse, say you told them no mail and they sent mail anyways. So since then I'll never play rated again.

card counting. predicting my first card by cutting 10 cards from the bottom after the dealer flashed the bottom card in double deck. using first card knowledge of ace or ten to bet with big advantage (front loading dealer). using first card knowledge of ten to make a side bet with a huge advantage. using first card knowledge of king of spades to make a side bet with MONSTROUS advantage (kings bounty). counting lucky ladies. using next card knowledge to make hit / stand decisions in pitch. exploiting money change promo. wagering a 2.5 chip for extra bj payout. making "illegal" plays such as hitting or doubling split aces when that's not actually allowed. scavenger doubling, buying surrenders, selling stiffs for full value etc.
