    Soft hands in DD games

I have the HiLo indexes for DD games minus the soft doubling and hitting indexes. Anyone point to a link where Ai might find these?

i often seem to get A7 vs 10 but don't know when it makes sense to stand and not hit. Also seem to be getting A4 vs 2-6 and don't have indexes on when to deviate from BS.

    Rule of thumb 1
A7 v 10 - don't think, just hit - exception - against dealer ace where insurance is warranted. Handles almost everything.

    Rule if thumb 2
Ace 4 vs. Dealer stiff 2,3,4,5,6 - ploppy hell solved by rule of thumb
Against 2,3, big big juicy juicy counts (glad I spelled counts correctly)
    Against 4, 0 and above
Against 5 moderate negative and above
Against 6 reasonably heavy negative and above

    Rule of thumb 3
the lower your second card is, the stronger the count needs to be.

    Rule if thumb 4
The lower dealer card is, the stronger your count needs to be.

Check wongs professional blackjack - see tables hi lo 4 decks starting around page 250. These are good enough. I know the actual indexes - rule of thumb rules are a good start for you. Don't mastermind, play the way you're supposed to.

Thanks Freightman. The A7 vs. 10 at negative counts is where I screwed up most often. Really appreciate it.

These are for shoe games but same difference probably.

    A4 v 4 : double at +0 or higher

    A3 v 5 : double at -1 or higher

    A7 v A : stay at +1 or higher S17, always hit H17

    A2 v 4 : double at +3 or higher

    A8 v 4 : double at +3 or higher

    A7 v 3 : double at -2 or higher

    A2, A3, A4 v 3 : double at +7 or higher

    A5 v 3 : double at +4 or higher

    A6 v 3 : double at -3 or higher

    AA v A : split at -3 or higher (H17)

    A7 v 4 : double at -6 or higher

    A3 v 6 : double at -4 or higher
