    Basically, yes.

Well, one for sure would be the situation I just presented, that's a starter. I've seen any number of similar promotions ran like the one I was able to exploit, that could by all means be the situations he's presenting here since we just went over one. There's a ton of logical conclusions we could jump to, I'll let him chime in whenever.

    10 decks - never.
Never say never, Freightman! If it was dealt down deep enough and you could wong in, the possibilities of extreme counts at the end of the 10D shoe would naturally increase over what you could get in a 8D shoe, I would think. I'd play it if I could wong in and out... kind of sucks for the dealer when the autoshuffler breaks and they have to shuffle by hand though. It's much more taxing to shuffle 8D than it is 6D, so it's hard to imagine hand shuffling 10 decks.

I can see it now - your observing a 10 deck shoe - you're 5 decks in - wonging is justified - oops, no mid shoe entry

People always get mad at me for giving these things the light of day but... Hole carding, dealer errors, promotions etc. One of my biggest advantages is with a certain dealer at an CSM. His error rate is so high I flat bet my counting max bet the entire time. You mustn't confine your thoughts on advantage play to counting.
