    Indexes for various counting methods

Would the illustrious 18 and Fab4 be consistent to lets say the K.O. system? How about other systems like Zen and Halves? Can anyone provide a link to the illustrious 18 that they use since I've found some different variations. Additionally, should the betting spread be different for different methods? If you have a +3 true count in the HiLo system and you would normally bet 3 times your bet unit, would you do the same with a running count of +3 in the K.O. system?

The spread will differ with different counts. Hilo is a balanced count, KO is unbalanced so the ramp will differ because of the different pivots.

Generally, if you change anything in Blackjack, many other things change. However, the hands included in the Ill18 change very little. There are minor differences. For example, with KO playing eight decks, 12v4 isn't useful.

OTOH, betting changes dramatically from system to system, rules, decks, and penetration. First off, you should be betting far more than three times your bet with HiLo in shoe games at +3 if you are not Wonging. As an example of the differences between strategies, here is a table of advantages by count for several counts: Modern Blackjack page 196. Note that this is just for one set of rules and penetration.
